the hotel decor and staff were great. I paid extra for the "City View" only to be put at the back of the hotel. Also, our room was right beside the elevator. The elevator made a high pitched squeak every time it moved. We were celebrating our 22nd anniversary at the noise was annoying and kept waking us up.
Very clean and great location. Staff was very accommodating The room service food was absolutely terrible and it took over 45 minutes to "cook" and bring up to our room. Over priced for bad, cheaply made food
The hotel was very nicely decorated, clean, and comfortable The hotel was very busy and a bit chaotic. The parking garage was full so we had to finding parking elsewhere.
well located, modern, clean, efficient staff. King size bed, while comfortable, needs to be "pillow top" as it is hard, even for a 270lbs man, to enjoy a restful night sleep. These should be standard in your concierge floor. Paying $31.00 for parking. The location does not permit parking on the street. This reservation was at rack rate.... Wi-Fi access, was "free" in the concierge lounge, but a $12.00 charge when in the room. Not too logical.
I was staying at the JW for a conference and the accommodations were convenient and the staff was friendly and helpful throughout the facility. Great job.
Beautiful hotel with excellent customer service My room was located next to a hospitality room where young people were talking very loud on a Sunday early morning. We were awaken at 5 am due to noisy neighbors.
Very modern and classy makes you feel like a high roller without breaking the bank No complaints
Very clean, comfortable, and excellent location for access to convention center. Some of the friendliest staff I have ever encountered. They were all extremely helpful, available, and always smiling. Parking garage was easy in and out. View from room was beautiful. Long waits for elevators, especially at night. Ice only available on 2nd floor. No refrigerator or microwave in rooms. Wi-fi and parking rates very expensive.
Very good locatin.
Old hotel!!! The location was perfect in downtown, but the hotel was under construction, broken tile in the lobby, primer on the walls, small check in area, etc.l Worst part was their air system only does heat or AC based on the outside weather. Our room was 80 the entire weekend. Parking garage is terrible. Do not take large vehicle in garage. I would not recommend.
convenient location and nice room one elevator was out of service, which led to delays getting to and from room
The Hotel staff are very courteous and helpful. We needed directions and the personnel at the front desk were very obliging, We came to Indy to ride our bikes on the Monon Trail so the location of the Hotel was good, the trail starts on 10th street. It was our second trip to your Hotele but not our last, let your employees know they do a excellent job.
The heating system was bad. My heat never came on. I understand all the construction, but cleanliness can still be maintained. The elevators were filthy and being used by staff, construction crew and equipment movement. The entrance from the garage was so filthy it reminded me of being in New York. First impressions are everything. I'm sure once all the renovations are complete it be be amazing again.
I really liked the layout of the room and the easy access to all the shopping and entertainment.
The only part I liked was the staff and location. The room was cold...no heat. 2 lights were out in the room at check in...another was falling out of the ceiling. The view from our room was nice...but the window had face prints all over it n I told my daughter not to touch it. The shower had hair in it at check in. I had to ask for toilet tissue because it was not refilled during cleaning. Everytime we went to the pool we had to ask for more towels...and sometimes they weren't received before we were done swimming. I am a single mom and we were there for 4 days...the staff was very helpful...but the hotel was not at all what I expected.
The staff was wonderful and went out of their way to make our trip enjoyable. I would especially like to thank Shelley Maher - she went completly out of her way to help us and make sure we had one of the larger rooms for our anniversary. She even sent me info. on the places nearby that were having a Thanksgiving meal - it is people like Shelley that will make us return and tell everyone to stay at Embassy Suites. We had been approved for an early check-in and were even an hour later than we had asked. However, when we arrived from our 2.5 hour road trip on Thanksgiving the room was still not ready for 2 hours after we had arrived. Being that it was Thanksgiving and everything was closed or booked, there really wasn't anyplace for us to go. It would have been nice if they would have been able to get the room ready a bit sooner.
This was a great hotel; wonderful service with a great downtown location. You're within walking distance of great restaurants, Circle City Mall, Convention Center and Lucas Oil Stadium. The staff was extremely helpful. We will return again.
Could hear the tvs from both rooms on each side. Could hear each and everything in the hallway. Rooms are extremely small. To high for what you recieve. Would not stay again.
Close to convention center, clean, good breakfast No vent fan in the bathroom, hallway smelled musty
Staff was fine, but someone was let into our room while we where still in there. Not great on that. Housekeeping woke us up at 830 to clean when check out was listed at noon.
Location Wifi was the worst I have ever experienced in a hotel. "Upgrading" to high speed did not top dial up speeds. Tech support was no help, "shared network" "it appears many are using it right now". Unacceptable. Really slow elevators. Waiting 10 minutes for an elevator is simply unacceptable as well. Dental floss spotted on hallway floor. Stayed there for days. Seriously? Big bug spotted on curtain and it was moving up and down. That was it, I left a day early!
hit you hard for taxes and parking
Room was large. Liked that there were two sinks with a bathroom that contained a shower and sink and a separate bathroom with a toilet and a sink. This set up worked well with two travelers. Seating area in the room was also nice. The location is great if you need to access the JW Marriott. The card key system didn't work well. It usually took a few tries to get the elevator to work and sometimes took more than one try to get into the room.
Clean and fresh. Spacious. A great value for the dollar.
I asked for my room to be cleaned, they never did it. Asked for more shampoo and conditioner, never received. Hotel night staff was not friendly. Also, valet was slow and confused.
Had hot water for showering For the price we paid was not worth the stay. Over expensive, no breakfast
Comfortable bed, decent room and friendly staff The shower in my room kept making a loud resonating noise. Hotel could not fix it even after two complaints.
Accessibility to downtown No fridge or microwave in room
Nice location, could look out at the canal from our room. The staff was great, comped our parking and took of the $30 processing fee!!! No

The fact that it was a suite. Very outdated (more like a 3 star) elevator didn't work the whole time during our stay. Only 1 elevator.

Staff was great! Lower level rooms have a musty-moldy smell. This hotel is in need of updates. Most of the carpeting throughout was warn, and had many stains.
I liked the studio room and the layout was perfect for our purposes. There was adequate room for working on the desk as well as adequate space for cooking simple meals. All in all, I would definitely return. The noise of some of the other guests was annoying at several points during the night. I believe it was actually New Year's Eve, but it was children running the halls and some loud inappropriate language from some of the male guests.
Very nice facility, great breakfast and a lovely setting. Some bad quest was all.
The location on the canal was nice. Also, they had a good breakfast selection with kind staff. The hotel is falling apart. An elevator was down. There were many cigarette burns in my carpet (this is a non-smoking hotel). When I told the manager they looked at me like I was an alien to bring it to their attention. Housekeeping was not responsive.
Nothing The parking, the room and the staff
Staff. Way too expensive for what was offered.
The location was great for our after-Christmas celebration. The staff was very helpful and professional. We enjoyed the pool table and fitness center, as well as the breakfast, although it became quite crowded, with standing room only at times. I miss when a RI suite was much roomier than this - but that was very long ago. Also, I misunderstood 'Fully equipped kitchen' to include an oven, as in all other places I have stayed. Microwave/range-top was far insufficient for our holiday plans.
The location was amazing. My King Delux matched expectations and the facilities were in good condition. I didn't encounter any of the issues with outdated plumbing, silly addenda, etc. It was a very nice place for $80/night - I'm looking forward to staying again. There was a hiccup in pulling my reservation over - but the staff took care of it. The exterior door is locked at night. You have to dress at a certain level to gain access to some areas of the building - which I didn't plan for. Overall minor things.
This is a beautifully restored structure bathed in old world opulence. The staff were very very informative and inviting, including the doorman who very politely and professionally requested I remove my hat. the physical location on the square was nice and convenient for foot commutes. I should have read beyond the description of the building before making a buying decision. We were in town on business. I didn't realize this is foremost a private club, and as would be expected, has most of the rules and pretentiousness associated with such an establishment. Not a bad thing, just didn't fit with the purpose of our stay. Condition of the room was so-so, broken lamp, uncomfortable shower, no water pressure. We weren't able to dine on site due to dress code which was unfortunate.
