I have stayed here twice in 06. Both stays were excellent. Rooms are fantastic with HS internet, plasma T.V. Great views. Bar and food are very good. Great fitness center. Warning. It is not near the main part of the island. There is a shuttle to Central Station every hour. Taxi is not that expensive. Hotel is less expensive than other luxury hotels on the island. Very pleasant experience. Will stay again.
Everything, especially free use of washing machines and dryer. Nothing to dislike.
View to the fishery & sea Two busy roads embrace the hotel, making it a very noisy spot round a clock. Closed windows do not resolve the problem, one can still hear traffic very well. If you want to get away from "hassle and bustle of Hong Kong" this is not the place to enjoy tranquility, it is a very busy area, only on the other side of Hong Kong island. Sea view" is supposed to tempt visitors to choose this hotel, but do not expect to see beautiful deserted sea shores, you will have very busy Aberdeen fishery right next to you + busy maritime traffic + some of you view will be blocked by buildings. I enjoyed watching fishery operations anyway, but that's not for everyone.
Fantastic views. Interesting watching the fishing boats. Easy to bus it everywhere. Fabulous staff. We loved everything about it.
The facility and value
Homely feel and staff (Kennis Hou & Hazel) went extra mile to ensure we have a comfortable stay and always on hand to handle our needs.Location is within reach to most parts of Hong Kong and we can take ferry trip to nearby islands too. Will return again! The location facing the Chinese cemetery.
cleanliness the wifi is so slow it is almost non existent. the exaust fan was not working so with limited space, it will definitely cause some smell in whole room
Large room, very comfortable. Staff was extremely friendly, Ms. Kennis helped us with everything we wanted.
the inclusiveness; free softdrinks, newspapers and internet; even a good quality umbrella and an invitation to keep it! The double bed was not kingsize and I had expected pushed-together twins which would have been more suitable for my daughter and I.
The room was clean (except the carpet) and convenient. Since I like the wood floor, I asked the staff to remove the carpet in the second day. The staff was pretty kind. The free breakfast was reasonably good. My favorite was the free entrance to the swimming pool and gym of Le Meridien Cyberport Hotel. You need to take a taxi or a bus to go from Abeo to Le Meridien, but it is worth trying. First, I had to pay 2% of extra charges for credit card payment (3% for Amex). When I made a reservation at booking.com, there was no information about the extra charges for credit card payment. Second, the staff asked me to keep a window open while cooking something. The smoke detector was very sensitive even though the hood on the stove is turn on.
The staff incredibly helpful and pleasant. Hotel provided great info to assist guests in navigating around Hong Kong. Enjoyed the fact the hotel was located in local neighborhood which enabled us to enjoy everyday life in the neighborhood. Enjoyed the Evening Happy Hour - Great Experiences, we would definitely stay there again!
