The worsed car hire I’ve ever come across, plane was 30 mins late no one on the desk when we arrived on a Saturday evening 8.30pm so was stuck at the airport with not a clue what to do, a bus driver came to our rescue, by taking us to a nearby hotel. With the extra cost of over 300 dollars which wasn’t in our budget but had to be paid, unless I’m desperate I won’t be using Hertz again when we travel. Hertz has the tendency to rent damaged cars. They check them with you when checking out. I now take pictures of the car before I leave. On this rental the return guy was saying 'there is a dent here' at which time I showed him the picture I took before I left the pick up location. This is not the first time they have done this. I did not rent the car from this location. Upon arrival, attendant required proof of own car insurance. I do not have own car or insurance, which is why I was renting the car. The alternative provided was $40/day for complete insurance from the location itself. I rent cars very often - this has never been a requirement before as my credit card offers great insurance coverage.Opinión del 2 dic 2021

Hertz still charges an extra daily fee to add a spouse as an authorized driver. Luckily it looks like a lot of car rental companies are moving away from this, but it's ridiculousOpinión del 1 dic 2021

There was an extra charge for a second (spouse) driver which I don’t think we have ever had from another company. When I looked back at the agreement it did mention additional charges for another driver but didn’t say what they were (13$/day). I would have looked at another rental company if I had been aware upfront (like, the info not buried in the middle of the rental agreement) as it did push the price much past the competition’s price. I requested an email receipt, which I still haven't received almost a week later. Also, I asked about an upgrade and was told it was $20 more, but my credit card was billed for more than that increase, so it appears I was lied to at the counter as well. Unfortunately, National didn't have any cars available for my travel dates, but I'll be avoiding Hertz in the future.Opinión del 2 oct 2021

the drop off was scheduled for 10pm. i got there and the place closed at 10pm. in the rental agreement it did not say the hours of operation. i was not able to return the car, and now my plans are all screwed up. otherwise it was a great experience. i am sorting out the aftermath now.Opinión del 23 jun 2021
