A comfortable and spacious room. The gym was quite dated.
the suite was comfortable and clean with no trace of bedbugs. It was also close to where i needed to be. The suite was extremely drab
The suite was very luxurious unexpectedly. The new renovations have created a very charming yet chic atmosphere. The room was well appointed and the food in the Restaurant was very tasty and nicely presented. Oops thats three things. Happily we didn't have one concern other than the usual difficulty getting into the hotel from the parking area initally.
they let me stay as your reserve code was not valid and they gave me a room anyway. the uncomfortable feeling that booking.com was not registered with the front desk and they found me a room
Was a great stay. Quiet room. Great balcony that you could actually go on. Love that you can get everything in one hotel. Star bucks, gourmet food, pub food. Great all around!
f**kin fire alarm sent my family and i out in the the cold 1:30 AM F**k!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It was attached to the convention center There was not enough parking
The responsiveness of the staff to some problems I had was outstanding. While the hotel itself is fairly standard, the attitude of the staff made the difference. I remember nothing about your website but you do not give space to answer that below so I am using this space.
The downtown Winnipeg location. Blazes Bistro. The additional $15 per day parking fees. When you are paying high rates parking should be a free consideration.
Very comfotable room, excellent restaurant and well laid out business meeting rooms. Staff was very effecient and helpful. The $10 a day charge for high speed internet. This should be part of the cost of the room.
Parking was very bad. Ok for small cars but tight for SUV
I used to come to Holiday Inn as a kid and I was really excited for this stay, everything is more or less the same since then and it was awesome. We were upgraded from a Queen room to a King room no charge on arrival which was really great of them! In the morning the restaurant was really slow to get into and we ended up leaving to go eat somewhere else.
Great value for a hotel in the heart of Winnipeg. Rooms could have been a little better though.
We did not recognize the hotel, the renovations are fantastic. The service was next to none, we loved our stay. The guest rooms are nothing but luxury! Thank you ot the Quality Inn for a great stay! I will recommend this hotel!
What great renovations to this hotel! The lobby is beautiful and the breakfast was super! I was able to hit all the shopping centres with out getting too lost and the Autohause Dealership was right across the street to get my car serviced! Staff were really helpful too and those plush comforters on the bed gave me sweet dreams! I would recommend this hotel to others in a minute!
It's my first visit in the city (Winnipeg). I asked someone for an affordable hotel cause I'm on a tight budget. He directed me to this hotel, the Quality Inn and Suites Winnipeg. It was the closest hotel I get into and also very easy to locate. I was with my pet pochi, he was 5 months old chihuahua. Good thing pets were allowed inside, there was an additional fee but I didn't mind cause it's reasonable. I got a good deal of the room and service I chose, free breakfast, free wi-fi. The bed was fine and comfortable, actually the whole room itself, as if I wasn't on a budget at all. The staff were friendly and accommodating. Overall, I can say that the hotel is recommendable to travelers.
I expected an average, low-cost hotel, but this one had some perks that made me feel very welcome! The bed was very comfortable, robes provided, bathrooms had nice lighting (not dark and creepy like many hotel bathrooms) and staff were helpful. The breakfast was by far one of the best ones I've ever had at a hotel. Hidden behind surprisingly sleek glass doors was the restaurant, just off from the lobby area. Breakfast items such as scrambled eggs, hash browns, cereal, hot oatmeal, toast, bagels, fruit, hot coffee, milk and juice were there. On the Saturday, sausages instead of hash browns were served. The restaurant was decorated very tastefully as well - I could see the dark colour being conducive to many after dinner conversations. Ample parking space behind the hotel, a liquor store actually behind it if needed, and truly the hotel was very close to everywhere we needed to go. I was disappointed that there wasn't a hot tub, but there was a fitness room. The wireless was also pretty ...
I really like this hotel. The rooms are clean, comfortable, the breakfast is excellent, and the price is fine.
We had a great stay, the room was plush and the hot breakfast was nice. They treated us very well, a great stay!
I reached Winnipeg upon a commercial trip and remained quite careful on staying on a 3.5 star hotel. Quality Inn & Suites Winnipeg hotel is inside walking range to be able to restaurants, outfits and The Forks. The hall included one King height bed, microwave, mini-fridge, machine and also hair machine. The room remained very smooth! Complimentary items: nearby calls, high performance internet and sexy breakfast. The breakfast included soup, yogurt, danish, doughnuts, muffins, fruit, juices, coffee and teas. I would highly recommend which hotel to remain the heart of city!
Nice hotel, clean room, good breakfast, easy drive to/from downtown, and great friendly customer service. I had left a charger behind in my room, and Keith from guest services was very helpful with retrieval and shipping.
Tastefully decorated hotel including the onsite restaurant and pub (although didn't eat except free breakfast), the room is very small with little walking space but it is nice and comfortable and did have a mini fridge. The walls are thin both interior and exterior noise, kept towel wrapped on floor by door and set A/C to 'fan' so that it would never shut off and help to drown noise. Guests in hall at all hours and guest dogs barking at each other in the morning. This hotel does not have a pool and is therefore not as family friendly. The location toward the inner city was wonderful and easy to get to everything. This hotel did not have onsite guest laundry facilities and we were forced to find a laundry mat.
The conference room and people were excellent at every requests. The staff at the reception were helpful in getting stored items quickly and effeciently. There were two things that could have been better. One was the crowding of people at the reception floor at all times including late evenings.Second was the restaurant was extremely slow in serving.
I had booked a month earlier via Expedia. My whole intension was to be very new to the airport as I had an early flight. When I reached the hotel, I was told they were over booked and they relocated me to a hotel down town. Not what I wanted at all! I was not even contacted to be informed.
i liked the being able to buy food and alcohol at the hotel the casino in the restaurant
the staff were friendly and the room and beds were clean No elevator, no shoe cleaning cloth in the room, I found out from the taxi driver that I could have been given a chit for a ride to the airport if I had asked the front desk staff, they never informed me of this. I did not have vehicle and there is no restaurant close by.
It was close to the airport. The room had a funny smell to it...We didnt complain..we will return to this hotel on Thursday for one nite on our way home...Want to be on the main floor as its hard to get suitcases up without an elevator..
Internet service and sleeping
I like everything.
Free breakfast & free internet. Air conditioning was too cool even on low setting.
We needed something close to the airport Quite a lot of noise from other doors
Mostly a very good stay. Hotel staff were friendly, breakfast offerings were decent and tasty, and room service was prompt and thorough. The kitchen lady was polite and talkative... good for getting the brain running in the morning. The shuttle service to the airport was handy. Very close to Polo Park (walking distance, even at -14 degrees Celsius). Bus stop to downtown right at the hotel. The bed was a bit odd. Ordered one bed, got two. One of them was fairly hard, but we got a second, properly cushion-y one that we ended up using.
Ate supper then slept. js No elevator
The room was clean, the staff were friendly and the amount of privacy received was great! I didn't like how unorganized the staff member was behind the desk when we were checking in. Checking out was a breeze though!
I did a reservation at booking.com and it never got to the hotel. They never had the reservation. I provided them with the confirmation number and there was no record. Luckily there were rooms available, but it is very annoying.
Location in relation to the airport. The phone system would not allow the use of a calling card to make a phone call. The phone system provided instructions on how to make a call using a calling card but the phone system doesn't have that capability.
I liked the convenient location to the MTS Centre. It was difficult to find a parking spot which also cost an extra $20 on top of the hotel stay. Couldn't find the toilet paper under/behind the counter until I called the front desk.
Elevator service was turned off once Food was poor Front desk staff was unhelpful and always on hold
The convenience of being downtown winnipeg close to the MTS centre and shopping The room was an uncomfortable temperature throughout the stay and could not be changed. Breakfast which was complimentary was not satisfactory and the waiting staff were rude.
There's no better value for the location. Free actual breakfast each day was great, and the dining room had a very historic classy feel. The pool/hot tub area looked very clean, but we didn't get a chance to take it in. If you're planning on gettting out to enjoy the city or the downtown core, this is the place. There's a bit of a rough crowd at certain times around downtown WPG but the same can be said for most major cities. The rooms could use a facelift, but they were always fresh and clean so it's hard to complain too much.
Good sized room, comfortable and clean. Poolside rooms are noisy until 11:00 pm. Not a good choice for a mature couple. Will choose a room away from the pool next time.
we liked the location of the hotel and the layout of the interior. We liked our room, except for the points noted below. We liked the complimentary breakfast and the restaurant staff. Overall we had a positive experience. In the past we stayed at the Greenwood Inn and at the Country Inn and Suites in the immediate area, but found your hotel superior and would return if we came back. We arrived quite late in the evening and found the front parking lot full. We checked in and were directed to the rear lot. However, our room key would not unlock the rear door. There was no way to contact the desk from that location and we had to carry our bags around the building to the front. I would have been most upset if my wife was alone in that situation.(the release system on the door was not working properly and after my complaint was fixed the next day). Then in my room I noticed the check-in clerk had not given me enough breakfast passes and I had to return to the desk to get 3 more. A small inconveniece, but coupled with the rear door matter, not a good start to a relationship. The room was nice, except the carpet was stained.
Very good service, clean, good food, best location for in and out flight, friendly staff
Clean and comfortable affordable accommodation near airport.
Location; welcoming/respectful/helpful personnel Nothing to complain about.
The best hotel room I have stayed in! A separate lounge and a large bed impressed me. Sadly it was just an overnight stay.
A perfect room. I didn't want leave that place.
I only had an overnight here, but the hotel was great, especially for the price paid. The food in the bar area was great too. No problems staying here again if I needed to rest before a flight!
Close to airport for ease of travel and good facilities. Suites provided plenty os space for enjoyable stay.
Friendly staff and prompt service The tap water tastes horrible
I like the location and it was quiet. But the food just was not worth the money we paid for .Price too high and very little portion for the price The cost of the food and price..
Good location, everything right at the hotel, clean rooms and reasonable price. The maids could learn a few manners. Forgot the do not disturb and as we were still in bed (thankfully just watching tv) it was a light knock followed by a maid walking right in without announcing herself. Then no "oh I'm sorry" she just shut the door and walked away. Not a huge deal, just should have announced who she was and possibly knocked a little louder. Could have been more awkward.
Good value and close to family wedding venue at Fort Garry hotel
The hotel leaves one with a nice family-run feeling, the rooms are very comfortable and nicely appointed. The restaurant is a very basic family restaurant, but there are a few good restaurants in walking distance.
When we arrived we were running late and the front desk did everything possible to expedite our check in. The rooms were very clean and the beds were comfy. They should have more coffee packets....3 coffee pods and only two coffee packets. Had to find a housekeeper to get another one. Good thing she was near by. All in all it was a good stay. All the rooms have been refurbished. Couldn't make room to room calls. Front desk didn't even know how to do it! The shower was very hard to get to a decent temperature.
Amazing food. Beyond welcoming staff. Great bar. Rooms are comforting and current. the surrounding businesses
Close to public transport. No type of breakfast offerred. The block I stayed in was run down & aircon could not keep up with the conditions.
The rooms were clean and tidy. Housekeeping and Front Desk staff was very polite and friendly. There is nothing that I didn't like however, I was little disappointed with the bathroom aesthetically. They were not up to Sheraton's mark in my opinion. I think the hotel needs bathroom renovation.
Nice hotel, room, good restaurant, and very nice staff. Nothing I didn't like.
Friendly staff, well appointed room and convenient to the Airport
Room was very comfortable and very quiet. Heard a couple of planes during the night, but not loud for being across the street from the terminal. Biggest drawback was lack of pick up area for ride to pick you up from the hotel. Driver has to park in public parking near the hotel then walk through another hotel to get into the Grand Winnipeg. Don't forget to have them get their parking validated.
Beautiful rooms, floor to ceiling windows, fridge, keurig, 50 steps to the airport so no need for a rental vehicle, The Blue Marble restaurant in the hotel was outstanding. ...best pancakes you will ever eat. Excellent room value, runway view. Nope...I would highly recommend it.
the staff were friendly and accomodating. not a very good selection of breakfast items in comparison to other hotels, that was a let down as we are early risers and had looked forward to a leisurely morning with breakfast in our room before heading home which is a 4 hour ride.
The staff was very helpful and friendly. Morning breakfast was excellent, good coffee and selection The location- entering and exiting was horrendous, especially exiting onto a main throughfare onto pembina.
It was a place to sleep.
Lovely neighborhood across Pembina Highway. Long walk to a restaurant other than MacDonald's.
