Lovely view over the harbour, spacious well equipped studio unit. The staff were extremely helpful and knowledgeable about the local area. Looked after our bag while we walked the Queen Charlotte track and helped us get laundry done quickly when we got back.
The owners really make an effort to make youi fell comfortable......very clean and well-equipped! Absolutely nothing!
View from room breathtaking - clean modern facilities Cooking facilities a plus with such a view we opted to stay in cook and just sit back relax and take in the view Owners exceptional even drove us to ferry There was nothing we disliked about Harbour View Motel
Lovely views. Clean well appointed room with comfortable bed and clean bathrooms and cooking facilities car parking awkward and tight
Very central. Very friendly. Helpful with good suggestions re local visits. Pleasant harbour view with balcony. Room facilities good enabling some self catering. Wifi not working on this occasion. Would definitely recommend.
Very disappointed in our room Broken basin, just not up to Mecure standard. Know they have better rooms as have stayed before. The room.
i liked the convenience of location, new decor room 313, minor incident handled professionally by staff. able to leave bag for short time after check-out instead of dragging it around picton shops whilst waiting for the return train. having to get on my hands and knees on the floor and plug the kettle in whilst leaving the kettle sitting on the new carpet as the power outlet behind the bar fridge was unaccessable and the cord too short.
The round bed No information about breakfast in the hotel info. No cooked breakfast available.
How close it is to the shops and other venues that we needed to get to. The sound of the metal stair access outside is a bit noisy. The balcony sliding door didn't have a lock.
I arrived late,so I felt a bit out and there was no bar open so I went to bed 10pm No cooked breakfast and the continental was meager and overpriced
Proximity to town and ease to find. At no time were we notified of the on-going Construction/Rennovation to the Hotel until we were unpacked in room. Room was cold (not prepared for guests), noisey rubbish truck outside. Upon inspection, noted it was a crane withing 30 metres from the room working on the property - after putting up with it for 20 minutes we enquired from Reception with regard to when it would stop. Told at 7.00 pm restarting at 8.00 am in morning. Raining heavily when arrived were unable to really look at exterior or be aware of the noise levels. Unfortunately no compensation of any sort was suggested and the Jack Hammer starting at 7.45 am the follwing morning was the end. Not good value for money at all!!!!!
Location and cheap room rate. Room was clean and staff were good. The hotel definitely needs the upgrade its getting. Last night I couldnt get back in the main door, luckily the side door was open.I would recommend the hotel after the upgrade.
Hotel Restaurant offers magnificent food. The lift is only available 5 stairs down which is uncomfortable, and is at the bottom of the passage far from the Reception. A room with a bath is something which I missed.
The location...is was close to everything We did not get told or agree to $50.00 being taken from our bank account (we have still not received that money back yet). We were not happy with this and think that we should have been informed, we recommend definitely telling your reception staff to inform customers of this as it put a dampener on our experience at your hotel. However we do understand that money needs to be held for incidentals, but think there should be a clearer understanding.
Staff were considerate and thoughtful, giving us a free complementary up upgrade. The film channel was also good. I liked not having to walk through the hotel to leave or arrive - we were able to come and go as we pleased. Not applicable
location - it was close to town and ferry terminal
Convenient to town of Picton and the ferry to Wellington. Nice and quiet. Internet access. It was a very pleasant stay. For some reason we got the impression that the Broadway had a water view of the Harbor. We were a little bit disappointed about that.
9PM arrived in Picton on Arahura Ferry great to only have 2 minute drive to lovely, clean motel with friendly welcoming staff.
Fantastic bathroom, comfortable bed, nice sheets, good kitchen, near shops, near the ferry, helpful staff.
Location and friendly staff Tariff was quite high for this hotel. Booking through your facility I was charged NZ$159. I booked another room for a friend for the same night direct with the motel by phone and he was charged $145 for the same sized room.
beds very comfortable, clean, warm, shower great, kitchen with table. We were a family of 4 adults and it was very comfortable, plenty of TV stations.
It had modern facilities and was clean. The staff had a meeting and was not at the hotel the night we arrived. When I made the booking, I made a note that we needed a cot for our son and I did not see an option for a cot in the booking web forms. However, they did not make a cot available and no one was there to fix the problem. Also, we could not use the wireless service because no staff was there to give us login information.
just perfect the location, could be easier, but this is easy to find for those who just leave or arrive to picton by ferry.
The staff were very helpful and the position was convenient to local shops. The fully equipped kitchen made it possible to make our own meals ao we could save some money on food. It was a little too close to the train line.
Quick service by reception staff, comfortable room and good facilities. Short distance to town amenities. Excellent value for money
The room and bathroom was nice. Tea & coffee facilities were not in the room. Breakfast was not adequate and not sufficient milk for cereal or drinks.
Location, attentive staff and great overall fit out. Lack of access to a refridgerator - noiseless refridgerators are available for in room use and in any event one could be positioned in a suitable cabinet on the landing which would overcome the "noise in room" excuse given for not having this basic feature in what is an upmarket establishment.
Rooms up steep steps which were difficult with heavy cases. Rooms pleasant with electrically heated bowl in which we managed to fix pasta. No
This is a very well run place with excellent and helpful hosts. My room far exceeded my expectations and was one of the nicest in which I have ever stayed. The location is just off the main streets, quiet, with a mall and grocery right across the street and all the restaurants within an easy walk. I walked from there to the ferry and was allowed to leave my car with them (I was coming back the next night). They stayed late to let me check back in and even stored my laptop for me while I was gone. If you are staying in Picton, this is the place to stay - they know how to take care of people. No.
