Large rooms, good breakfast.
Clean nice fresh rooms Nothing
One to two elevators were down. Making access to the first floor unbearable.

The rooms were spacious, so it was comfortable to visit. It was nice to get made to order eggs and omelets at the complimentary breakfast. Even though they had a nice shower head, I was not impressed with the water pressure.
Quiet, good hospitality in evening and great breakfast! Check in easy and earlier than expected. First time in embassy for a long time but just as nice as ever. No.
After paying $---- for room. I had to pay for wifi-access. No shower door...water pooring into bathroom floor while taking shower. There was no ESPN cable service as advertised. Carperting in room was filthy. White socks turned brown after walking on it. See Above
Location, easy to get to the airport Parking lot was kind of skeezy.Clientele made me feel like I was at a cheesy singles bar. Broken lamp at my bedside, cleverly glued together unfortunately everytime you touched it the seams tried to come apart and you had to carefully stabilize it.
Everything especially manager's reception.nothing
They did not refill the coffee for the 2nd day's stay
I love having the space of a two-room suite. The breakfast in the morning is very good for a hotel especially one that includes the breakfast in the price. The couch was very dated and had some stains. Behind the headboard there was trash candy wrappers and my wife even said a book. Apparently no one has looked back there in a while. We had to have the maintenance come up and restart the air conditioner.
They have the best location for the civic center but if they are full you will have no hot water in the morning, the hallways are noisy, elevator is slow and side door does not like to open with your room key like it is intended.
The Staff and Service was excellent hotel experience exceeded our expectation
We were waited on immediately and the clerk was very friendly. The hotel looked very nice and clean. The room was nice and clean, but i hate fat pillows! the breakfast they offered was yummy with lots of choices, and everything looked and tasted fresh. I had a rental car, but didn't know how to get back to the airport on the day of my departure, so the shuttle bus driver (who did not speak English very well) let me follow him to the airport even though he didn't have any other passengers! (He was such a cute little guy, and we had fun trying to figure out how to make each other understand what the plan was.) He made sure to keep me in his sights the whole way, which made me feel so comfortable and safe. He certainly went above and beyond the call of duty!
I was on another website for this hotel. say pets are allowed......there not! Great to Know after a 12 hour drive Says there were rooms open...nope!!!! All booked up! Never stay there again.....
Room was clean, location was good and staff was helpful. Would recommend.
The hotel was older, a bit outdated, but suited my needs for just a night. It had a perfect location right by the interstate and across from a downtown mall. I was disappointed with the noise, the hair dryer which barely worked, and a toilet that kept making sounds all night. The small gym was adequate, but smelled like it hadn't been cleaned in awhile. Overall, it suited the needs as I was on my way to NC. The staff were friendly and the breakfast was a nice treat.
Easy on and off I-64. Right next to mall and lots of food. Continental breakfast at hotel was good. Traveled with 5 month old and were able to sleep well even with a hotel full of AAU basketball teams.
Stayed at hotel while on driving trip. Clean room, quality facilities. Breakfast bar well stocked despite busy morning with many guests there. Highly recommend.
The hotel had very comfortable beds and the free breakfast was a nice surprize and tasty. The stay was well worth it and i left feeling i got my moneys worth.
I went to this hotel on short notice, it was reasonably priced and staff was great. Probably the best free breakfast selection I've had at any hotel...I'd recommend it.
Soon after settling down in our room, we discovered we were locked in our room! The deadbolt was stuck in the locked position and the knob on the door would just spin around and around. We called the front desk and soon after, a staff person came and started trying to open the door with the 'emergency key'. It failed. She told us she would call the security guard (he never did come), the staff member told us to open our sliding window as much as we could, she handed us a tiny screwdriver and told us to break the lock on the window (didn't work). One person in our party had to crawl out a 6 inch space to go get a multi-tool our of our car. After breaking the lock to get the window open, the staff member tells us, 'well I guess you were going out for the night, just close the window behind you, let me know if you descide you want another room!' We were so upset, demanded another room (which we did not pay for), and had to move all of our belongings out the open window and in a back entra...
Nice big room. Clean. The beds were wonderful - great mattress - wonderful sheets - as nice as I have at home. We couldn't figure out how to use the TV remote ... at 9pm on Saturday night the front desk sent someone very quickly to show us how to work it. Great location -walk to lots of restaurants and shopping. A stone's throw from the convention center. Lots of free parking. What's not to like? I'd stay there again in a heartbeat. I've paid alot more for alot less.
Inexpensive Upon arrival, the front desk worker told us that our room may or may not be clean. He said their housekeeping team did not care very much and management didn't seem to want to do anything about it. The floors in the room were unswept with pet and human hair everywhere. Beds were made, but sheets did not look clean. The bathroom needed many repairs as well. We had already paid for the room so we asked for clean sheets, made our own bed, and had a poor nights sleep. We left the hotel as soon as we old in the morning. We will definitely not be back to this location.
The cost was affordable. The location was a little hard to get to on the first shot. The sign placement needed to be adjusted so you didn't end up turning around and going through other business's parking lots.
We chose the hotel based on proximity to a 2-day event we were attending. We stayed for two nights and we will definitely be back! The hotel staff was friendly, courteous, helpful, and went above and beyond to make us happy and comfortable. This applied to every hotel staff member we encountered, not just one! Check in/out was simple and accurate, the room was clean, warm, comfortable, and equipped with everything we needed including a coffee maker, microwave, refrigerator, and safe. There was even a box in our room for the type of room we chose- it contained complimentary bottled water, orange juice, granola bars, trail mix, and microwave popcorn. I could not believe the $54/night price tag. There was not a continental breakfast available, but there were plenty of places to eat within walking distance so that was not a problem. It was a wonderful experience!! I prefer a hotel room with a door that opens to the inside of a building/hallway rather than to an outdoor parking lot/balcony, but it was still fine.
Liked laminated wood floor instead of carpet Low shower water pressure
Newly updated rooms. The first room had sticky stuff on the floor. They gave us another room which had a cigarette butt and dust on the shelf
It was very easy to check in and find my room. Parking was not a problem. The hotel is right next to the interstate, so getting around town was not a problem. The hotel was clean and very comfortable. Finding the place was somewhat difficult to find, as there were other hotels positioned on the same road. The hotel was not well marked or easily seen until I was right on top of it. The hotel itself does not offer any breakfast or facilities to work out in as well.
Blankets, sink counter, bath tub, floor, drawers where all not cleaned. Seem housekeeping totally didn't clean the room. You really get what you pay for. Very dissaponting stay but charging to experience.
Good, solid stay!
The front desk staff were very welcoming and warm. The room that my husband and I stayed in was fairly clean. There was some dirt around the a/c unit and under the mini fridge. However, the room that we got for my parents had hairs in the bed and dirt that had clearly been swept under the refrigerator. In addition, there were several guests standing outside arguing loudly and smoking.
This hotel is not a good place to stay, especially if you have young children. When we returned to our room that night there was a party going on with lots of people hanging around outside. The next morning there were empty condom boxes beside our car. We did not stay the next night. It was bad enough we were willing to lose our money. Definitely not a family hotel.
People were very nice! Good breakfast . Plenty of parking. Would have liked a little better price was middle of week and hotel was empty.
I like this place because it is pet friendly, it is hard to find a good place to stay that accepts pets and is clean My stay was excellent.
Loved the spaciousness of the room. More than adequate work space. Very nice flow to the room. No
The hot tub was great! There was nothing negative.
We woke up in the middle of the night to a very smelly room. We were not sure what caused it. If it had been earlier we would have moved.
Dangerous toaster. Got painful burn.
The ease of making the reservation which cost $145+ BUT... (See Next Panel > What I Didn't Like) The fact that $ 93.91 Is Still Lingering on my Credit Card as a "Pending" Charge makes me Very Nervous!!!
Great value-access to Holiday in amenities-good tasting-free-breakfast -computer and printer access-Central location Little wear and tear -bathroom ceiling- Near train tracks-and Dow plant-high chemical content in the spa-hot-tub made my eyes red -had to cover my face to stand the chemicals-Most likely not their fault though- Stay but skip the hot-tub. The work out room was nice -wished for some lighter weights 8lbs & 12lbs would have been good for the ladies. Very good over all -would stay again :)
Great place to stay. Very convenient. Plenty of restaurants close by. Room was very nice and clean. Staff was polite and helpful with local directions. They only have feather pillows on the beds. You have to ask for regular (non-feather) pillows when making reservations or there might not be one available. Or bring your own.
The bed was very comfortable and the staff was nice. Seems like everything was outdated, there was no continental breakfast when it stated that there was going to be one.
The room is clean and comfortable. Great parking. The pool was under construction and we were not told about it.
Inexpensive, 10-15" from downtown, very nice staff. No frills.
Easy check in, clean rooms. There were only two very small pillows on the king sized bed. We pulled some of the sofa cushions over to the bed for adequate comfort.
The fact that they returned our money We did not like the filthy smell when we entered the room or the crumbs, scabs or who knows what when we pulled back the sheets
Location is good easy to get too My reservations through Hotels.com were messed up by one day . I had to rebook the night stay. I had to pay for the room because as I was told my original reservation had to be canceled. I was also told that the money I spent on the original reservation couldn't be transferred to the new reservation. So I had to pay more for the same room and to date I am still waiting on the refund it's been 2 weeks now going on 3 weeks and I was told it was the fault of the billing & accounting department from the booking site. I was told sorry it's our fault and nothing was offered to compensate for their mess up and I still have to wait for when they can supposedly expedite the refund. 2 to 3 weeks isn't expedited in my book
Left after first night because of roaches. When roaches are crawling on you while you sleep its time to leave. We will NEVER stay here again.
I needed a taxi and none was forthcoming. The front desk lady offered to get one of her housekeepers to assist. I was so grateful. Of course the taxi came just the. My room was not yet refurbished. The white sheets had seen better days. The hangers were falling apart. The housekeeper came and knocked on my door at nine in the morning to see if I was still there. Check out is 11. Why not check with the front desk?
Polite staff and location to the Civic Center. View of the river and a fire pit outside close to it. Clean with a welcoming entrance. Reserved double queen with pullout couch. GOT single king with pullout couch right next to the elevator. 3rd party website said cots were available but this hotel does not have them. Staff ensured that fold out couch would make a queen bed...not even close; super single at best. Although very polite the staff made no effort to help me out. Blamed the booking site. Called Hotel.com and my call was finally taken by an Indian woman that I could barely understand in a large office with quite a bit of background noise. Of course bookings are "subject to availability" even though I paid for something else. So she blames the hotel. Very poor customer service from both parties. Will not use either again.
This is the ONLY Bed & Breakfast in Charleston and no one should pass up the chance to experience Lisa's enchanted hospitality. The location is marvelous with the Capitol a block away as well as delicious eats within walking distance (Bluegrass Kitchen & Tricky Fish are my favorites!). The house is just lovely, as is afternoon tea and a delectable homemade breakfast. The opportunity to chat with other guests or just cozy on up alone with a book or Miss Pineapple (the outdoor cat) are experiences you can't find/create/imagine at box hotels. If you are thinking of this as a potential option then let me be the thought that tips you toward going for it. Let your lodging make this trip one to repeat.
The staff was very courteous and kind. I chose this hotel specifically based on the KAYAK reviews. For $125 for less than 12 hours, I felt it was a safe bet. The light in the bathroom (with connected fan) was so incredibly loud that my children would not turn the light on or close the door. At 11pm, the people above us chose to shower and it was as if they were in the room with us. I could not believe the lack of soundproofing, it was ridiculous. And that bathroom was just out of the question.
Clean rooms, had everything we would need except a coffee maker, but they had coffee in the office. Would definitely stay there again!
The staff changed my room to the river side, away from traffic noise, cheerfully without reservation. They offered advice for restaurants, and were very pleasant. The location on the river was picturesque and the price was outstanding. Very very clean. There are no extras - shampoos, lotions, etc. Not a big deal. I wish it were just a bit closer to downtown Charleston to enjoy the restaurant scene somewhat easier, but again, not a big deal.
Clean room Only one chair, traveling with friends and wanted to play cards. Got caught by the "chair police" trying to use a chair from their room to play cards. Had to put it back under threat of " I will have to charge you $500 if you scratch that chair." We put it back and used the plastic chair he brought to us. We are all in or sixties and thought we looked like responsible adults, but evidently we were wrong.
Good location for easy on/off highway, staff fast, friendly and competent, dogs accepted without extra charge, low price overall Cigarette burns in blankets in non- smoking room, room smelled funny and felt unclean (although it wasn't overtly dirty), parking lot made me feel like there was a good chance that my car would be broken into.
Very friendly staff and clean facilities. Comfortable bed. Very quiet location and many places to eat nearby. Great value for the cost nothing.
Low price. Nothing.
very DINGY APPEARANCE, LOW GRADE BREAKFAST FOOD
Good location Elevator wasn't working Cold shower
Location is excellent. The staff was very helpful. My 3 year old had to have dental surgery and everyone was so helpful Check out was at noon, a later checkout would have made things a little easier with a toddler

Much better than average Motel 6 compared to previous stays at Motel 6. I didn't hear any street noise from the third floor room. The neighborhood looks pretty good. I felt safe going to the parking lot. Twp women at front desk at check in were friendly. Downtown Charleston fireworks at 10pm woke me up. It sounded like we were under attack. Wall outlet behind bed in room 316 was wobbly and one of the plugs didn't work. I rearranged extension to get lamp to work. Desk clerk at checkout seemed irritated.
Breakfast was bad, came down at 9;05 and everything was empty
Plenty of room for wheelchair in room and the roll in shower. Nothing negative. Everything was perfect.
Nothing Warning DO NOT STAY HERE WORST HOTEL I HAVE EVER STAYED AT. THE NIGHT OF HELL IS WHAT WE CALL IT. The night of hell. Elevator broken, room dirty filthy, heat went out, wifi less than .50 meg, Nothing was good and price was horrible. Will never stay at a best western again. We booked a king got two doubles even after they tried to fix.
Nice furniture, comfortable bed The outside of the building and the hallways could use some sprucing up.
They have an amazing staff. They are very friendly and very helpful. No vending machines, cold breakfast food, thin walls that allowed sound to travel easily, have to get extra toiletries by yourself, etc.
The location was decent with quick access to the highway but the area from the parking lot into the building felt dangerous. The room needed more towels and the toilet flushed very slowly. The breakfast was okay.
