Miramare

We loved Hotel Miramare. First, Rosita and Carmela at the front desk were incredibly welcoming. They gave us tips on where to eat, what to do and made reservations for us. They were incredible hosts. Second, the location was wonderful. The view was absolutely breathtaking as we looked down at the city and shoreline. There were a lot of steps (211) to get to the hotel from the area with the restaurants and shops but it was worth the climb. Great breakfast in the morning and they even organized a happy hour reception with a bottle of champagne for our group because it was someone's birthday. Without question we would stay here again.

Right in the heart of Positano, the hotel has stunning sea and town views with a wonderful terrace in each room. Its close enough to the sea to fall asleep to the sound of the waves, and the rooms are decorated in the traditional whitewash/Neopolitan style of the region. A truly relaxing stay, with fantastic staff, and a great breakfast - and only 3 or so mins worth of stair climbing to get to it from the bottom!

Hard to fault - although like all hotels in Positano, its expensive - even the week before closing for the off season at the end of October.

We had the best stay at Hotel Miramare! The room and view was incredible, the breakfast was delicious, and the staff was extremely accommodating and so kind. I would be remiss if I didn’t spotlight Rosita. She was so lovely, so welcoming. You felt like family from the second you walked in. It was an outstanding experience, we’d love to come back and enjoy again!

Perfect location, very nice rooms

Our first time to Positano and will be back to this hotel! We were warmly welcomed like family by Rosita and Carmela. I felt so special the moment I walked in the door. The hotel is perfectly situated, high enough from the beach to provide splendid views and peacefulness but still low enough to be convenient to get to shops and restaurants. Also, location of hotel is one best side of Positano. Morning sun streams in to gently wake you but provides late afternoon shade for drinks on the balcony. Did I say balcony? Yes! Rooms have a generous balcony with views of the sea. We spent every late afternoon there having happy hour, then again at night after dinner. Gorgeous! We love you Rosita and Carmela. We will be back.
