Resort Bosco De' Medici

We stayed 2 nights at the end of our trip to Sorrento, to give ourselves a couple of days to relax after all the day tripping. We travelled by train from Sorrento to Pompei Scavi station as private taxi was over €80 for the same journey - train was less than €5 for 2 tickets. There were no taxis at the station so I contacted the resort and the gentleman I spoke with arranged a taxi for us, which arrived really quickly, and only €15 to get us to the hotel. I’d recommend this as it’s a long walk with suitcases. If you’re worried about the temperature in October, it can get a little chilly in the evenings but didn’t fall below 24 Celsius during the day which was perfect for exploring. We pulled into the resort and it is really quite beautiful . You go past the vineyards and perfectly kept lawns and lemon trees and are greeted by friendly, smiling staff who are so helpful. So many nice hotels can be let down by unhappy staff, but at Bosco De Medici everyone we came across could not do enough for you, they really help you to feel comfortable and relaxed in a lovely environment. Our room was spotlessly clean, modern and comfortable and the hot tub was ideally after a day of exploring the city. The bed was firm but comfortable, and again fresh and clean. WiFi signal isn’t great and would be good to improve on, and maybe some complementary water for the room would be nice just for when you first arrive, as it takes some time to work out where the shops are nearby. We ate in the restaurant on the first night and it is a lovely space. Once again, the staff were friendly and professional, helpful when choosing wines (we know nothing about wine but since it’s a vineyard it was a good time to learn) and very easy to speak with. Nothing pretentious, just a lovely relaxing environment good quality and very reasonably priced as well. Pompei centre is maybe 1km walk away, and flat all the way.

The room would benefit from a full length mirror and stronger WiFi signal. Complementary water for the room would be a nice touch Full length mirror would be good

The rooms were clean, with cleaners in everyday keeping them immaculate. The staff at reception were fantastic and were so helpful. Especially Antonio who made my children feel incredibly welcome at the hotel.

Immaculate and stylish hotel and resort, perfectly located in Pompeii. Staff were friendly and super attentive, our suite was spacious and comfortable, with hot tub, and breakfast was great. Benefits from a stunning pool with beautiful views of Mount Vesuvius. We would definitely stay again.

The hotel was very relaxed and the rooms were very comfortable. The pool are was gorgeous and chilled. The pool bar was good and the restaurant was superb. Please note that the restaurant ankh serve wine or beer. The hotel manager, Antonio, was so helpful & professional, he made our stay very stress free & gave us lots of useful information.
