The views and sunsets where amazing!

We stayed in Praia del Rey in private villa's several times so we where familiar with the resort. First time staying at the beach front and we where very excited to have the amazing views and Sunset's. The Beachfront is in need of a of a lot of TLC, the walls are discoloured on the outside and inside and the townhouse was missing a fair amount of touches for a 5 start property. i.e. soap dishes, glasses for toothbrushes in toilets. Board games/family packs for the house to use, washing machine was not working properly. We had to complaint about our 5th day full house clean as the house wasn't touched apart from the beds. The downstairs had a very strong smell of damp which should be addresses immediately prior to re renting the property. The biggest disappointment this year was the lack of facilities versus previous years. The Mare restaurant used to be open all day for drinks and snacks and now its barely open for breakfast and dinner. The kids club was fully booked on all days and the family excursions where booked up for the week. The Marriott wanted to charges us EUR35.00 each to use their pool for a couple of hours which is totally crazy. This was our 4th time in Praia del Rey and we where actually interested in buying in the resort but we have come away very disappointed this time and are now looking at alternative options.
