Ventajas: La casa es una delicia. Conserva el estilo de la época pero sin dar sensación de viejo. Detalles cuidados al máximo. La atención del personal excelente, siempre dispuestos a agradar. Altamente recomendable.

Desventajas: Es complicado llegar la primera vez porque es una calle peatonal en el centro histórico y no se puede aparcar, aunque si se puede llegar a la puerta para descargar las maletas. No hay ascensor

Ventajas: Very friendly and helpful hosts in a beautiful and stylishly restored villa. The room with view and the very tasty and lovingly prepared breakfast were simply great!

Desventajas: Our most expensive hotel while walking the Camino. Festival was in so accommodations were limited too.

Ventajas: La amabilidad de los propietarios, siempre dispuestos a ayudarte en todo. Las instalaciones,la limpieza y el entorno.La piscina y zona del jardin espectaculares.Desayuno variado y abundante. Recomendable al 100%.Un acierto seguro.

Ventajas: La estancia ha sido maravillosa. Rosa, su hijo el personal han sido increíbles. Asesorándonos que podíamos hacer. El desayuno estaba lleno de detalles y buenísimo. No nos importaría repetir.

Ventajas: El desayuno y la atención personalizada nos hicieron sentir como en casa. La limpieza es excepcional.

Desventajas: Todo bien , lo único que nos extrañó fue el caminito de hormigas por el cuarto de baño pero no molestaban en absoluto.

Ventajas: Los anfitriones, madre e hijo, son unas personas extraordinarias: amables, educadas, pendientes del mínimo detalle para que te sientas mejor que en casa. Los desayunos son mejores que en algunos hoteles de cinco estrellas. Un lugar inmejorable. Es la segunda vez que nos alojamos en esa casa y espero repetir.

Ventajas: Sería muy largo explicar todo lo que me ha encantado la casa. Es un lugar fantástico que transmite paz y tranquilidad. El trato de Rosa como el de su hijo Luís Alberto es inmejorable, siempre atentos si necesitas algo, con una sonrisa permanentemente encantados de explicarte cuelquier duda de donde ir o we visitar. El desayuno espectacular, cada día había alguna variación para que no fuese monótono. Los zumos son de la fruta que tienen en la finca. La piscina magnífica, donde poder darte un baño refrescante y poder nadar. En resumen nota de 20 porque 10 se queda corto para calificar todo.

Ventajas: Rosa y su hijo son encantadores. Mi madre y yo disfrutamos mucho de nuestra estancia en su alojamiento. Es precioso y preparan un desayuno increíble. Volveremos.

Desventajas: Está un poco alejado de Viana, pero no se tarda nada en llegar si tienes coche.

Ventajas: Una casa preciosa y un oasis de paz. La amabilidad de los dueños. La piscina una delicia.

Desventajas: Nada

Ventajas: La tranquilidad del lugar, la amplitud de la casa y los buenos detalles de atención por parte de los propietarios, siempre preocupados por tu comodidad.

Desventajas: Solo por apuntar alguna mejora, trabajaría en resolver la cobertura del wifi dentro de la casa individual (sugiero PLC-wifi) que es casi nula por los gruesos muros salvo cerca de las puertas o ventanas, y renovar el televisor.

Ventajas: Un lugar excepcional, la habitación, la finca con su jardín y su piscina, el edificio,el desayuno y sobre todo sus dueños.Dejaros aconsejar sobre donde comer. Viana do Castelo es bonita y tiene una playa estupenda.

Ventajas: It was overall a fantastic stay. Alberto and Rosa were attentive hosts, and every breakfast was a little feast! Lots of attention to detail, warmth and a charming location make la Quinta do Valle do Monte a very special retreat for couples or families.

Ventajas: What beautiful people. All wanted was done with a smile and care

Desventajas: Nothing. The magic of total relaxation was enough

Ventajas: A lovely old style house with comfortable rooms, gardenand orchards and a good sized pool. Our hosts could not have been kinder making us very welcome with lovely eat treats and a great breakfast. We had to leave very early to catch a plane and they provided a packed breakfast for us to take. This is a veritable oasis in the outer reaches of the town with good road access in all directions and a 10 -15 minute drive to the beach, and town. There is a restaurant/ bar serving food and 2 large supermarkets within a 5 minute walk.

Desventajas: The location is fine if you have a car and are happy to drive mostly everywhere including further up the valley for some peaceful walks but there is nowhere for pleasant evening strolls directly from the house.

Ventajas: La amabilidad del personal, la limpieza, la decoración, las opciones de ocio (piscina, ping-pong, futbolin, bicis...), y la relación calidad-precio. El desayuno incluido en el precio. Las salas de lectura y música.

Desventajas: Todo perfecto.

Ventajas: La quinta es perfecta para desconectar; las zonas adyacentes una maravilla de lugares, gentes y clima.

Desventajas: Mas variedad en el desayuno.

Ventajas: Es un lugar ideal de relax y tranquilidad. Ha sido una estancia inolvidable. Todo el personal encantador. Desayuno fantástico. Muy recomendable.

Ventajas: The room was spacious with a small sitting area, very comfortable. The buffet breakfast was excellent with a selection of food to suit most tastes. The location was good for visiting various places. We left the car at the hotel secure car park and travelled by train to Porto and Viana do Castell. The small stion is five minutes walk from the hotel, with very helpful staff.

Desventajas: You need to let the reception know your approximate time of arrival in order to have the gates open. After the first time you have your own key.

Ventajas: Lugar muy, muy recomendable excepto por el wifi, ya que en la habitación no había señal y para los que lo necesitamos por trabajo es un verdadero incordio. Todo lo demás excepcioalmente bien

Ventajas: Everything was spotlessly clean. The pool and the tennisarea was nice. Short distance to Viana do Castello.

Desventajas: It was very hot and the rooms didn't have aircondition. The hotel has a lot of stairs everywhere -inside and out (also to the pool) - but no railings to hold on to, which was a problem for my mother. On the webpage it says that its handicap friendly. This is really not true, eventhough the host was kind to change my parents room to one on the ground floor.

Ventajas: HIGHLY RECOMMEND this property! Lovely grounds, helpful and friendly staff, comfortable and spacious room, fun pool table and relaxing area. It is close to the beach, close to small towns nearby, and Kira the black lab is extremely friendly and welcoming.

Desventajas: The only complaint we have for the entire stay was the beds were very firm, but the rest of the property makes up for it.

Ventajas: La finca. Es un oasis.

Desventajas: El colchón pues era un poco duro y el entorno urbanístico no acompaña. Seria recomendable que tuvieran servicio de restauración diario o por lo menos por la noche.

Ventajas: The hostess’s welcome is kind and VERY (too?) detailed, but a tad too directive and overbearing. At times it makes you feel like a little child who needs to be taught house rules. Too much content is imparted upon you, whether you find it useful or need it at all in the first place. The room we had was a “suite” and thus featured a little anteroom with a kitchenette hidden in a large closet. The bedroom itself was nice, spacious and well appointed, although in that category, the bed could have been at least queen size —and wasn’t. The real downside is that there was NO WINDOW! The walk-in door was glass but needed to be curtained against the heat of the blazing afternoon sun (and the passing other guests!), and there was a minuscule vasistas around the walkway to the bathroom, but no window at all in the bedroom itself, which made it cavernous and claustrophobic. The room was not in the main building. Not one free power wall socket in sight! Don’t those hoteliers know that their guests have smartphones, tablets, cameras, portable computers, and all manners of assorted electrical appliances that need regular recharging? I had to unplug a lamp in the anteroom to recharge our things. No air conditioning, except for a very small unit in the bathroom, useless to cool the bedroom. The only appliance available was one of those column-type fans that worked more or less OK, except that it was on a 2-hour timer that forced me to get up several times during the night to get it started again! Unacceptable in that price range. The WiFi worked... until it went down, and couldn’t be restarted until the morning. You must avoid this place if you depend on a fast WiFi connection, for example for work purposes. (Read rest of review below)

Desventajas: The bathroom was good and in general well provided, but there are no red and blue markings on the taps, so you don’t know which way is hot and you’re kept wondering for quite a while as hot water takes that long to come on... Shower products are in quantities adequate, yet not overly generous, but strangely only shampoo and a strange little plastic bottle labeled “body lotion”... but no obvious shower gel in sight! Had to use an old one taken from previous hotel. Finally, the breakfast is good but nothing to really write home about as the hostess seemed to think: for example, no smoked salmon or other fish, eggs scrambled but not otherwise cooked, etc. AND you cannot have it before 9am, which is again unacceptable for an establishment in that price range: not all guests are on vacation, and even those who are may need to have an early start now and then! One last word to the wise: hotel owners and managers sometimes reply to guest advice and critique, and sometimes quite sharply. Remember then that I have no vested interest in saying good or not so good things about the places I stay at, while owners and managers do have a vested interest in selling you theirs products and services...

Ventajas: Very tranquil and relaxing. Beautifully finished and attention to deal. Very helpful locating a cot for my baby at a last minutes notice.

Desventajas: There was a bit of damp in our bedroom. The breakfast was very fresh and healthy, just could’ve done with a few more local pastries, I have a sweet tooth!

Ventajas: Absolutely gorgeous retreat - the Quinta is a huge property with tennis court, pool, gardens, and lots of places to sit and enjoy the beautiful setting. Wonderful breakfast. Very kind host.

Ventajas: An outstanding breakfast of fresh produce that was not equalled elsewhere on our travels. The staff were excellent and very friendly. The manager Carla could not of been more helpful.

Ventajas: Really beautiful building and immaculately maintained grounds and swimming pool. Very convenient for Viana but we preferred using the bikes to explore the fantastic beaches along this stretch of coast using the scenic trail. The kitchen out-building is very useful for those not wanting to drive to a restaurant, just stock up on food from the local shop, open the wine and eat in the garden beside the pool. The breakfast is legendary.

Desventajas: El agua de la piscina es muy fría y no es grato bañarse. Aunque si que estaba bien depurada creo que deberia limpiarse mas a menudo ya que habia muchas hojas e insectos muertos flotando. Las bicicletas bastante malas.

Ventajas: Beautiful fruit trees and garden. Lots of seating for guests, lounge chairs by the pool with a view of the ocean. Very cute kitchen to cook in if your staying in. We had homemade preserves with breakfast every morning, it was so delicious.

Desventajas: Nothing

Ventajas: The hosts were fantastic and made our 4 day stay perfect. The breakfast was amazing, with freshly prepared and locally grown fruit, homemade jams, eggs if wanted, fresh coffee, it was just great. The building is beautiful. As we travelled in October we didn't use the pool due to the weather but we will definitely return in the future, the pool and outside area were beautifully kept, with a bbq area and a kitchen for guests to use. It is in a quiet location but within easy reach of the beach and Viana de Castelo which has shops and historic places to visit.

Desventajas: There is nothing you could dislike in our opinion!!

Ventajas: Situación muy céntrica, desayuno muy bueno en calidad y cantidad,aparcamiento propio en el mismo edificio por unos pocos euros, pero por encima de todo el equipo humano con una atención al cliente excelente y el estilo del hotel muy moderno y a la vez muy cómodo con unas habitaciones confortables.

Ventajas: A repeat visit to a friendly hotel which is close to the central avenue of Viana. I liked the breakfast and welcoming staff. All the equipment in the room was working and satisfactory including the heating, which was needed this time.

Ventajas: The service was fantastic! Eduardo assisted us with the check-in and helpful tips about tourist attractions and restaurants. The rooms are modern and very clean and the beds were comfortable. We really enjoyed our stay!

Ventajas: The view was amazing, which was the main reason we decided to stay at the hotel for one night. Staff were super friendly. Breakfast was nice. Not many people so we enjoyed the quietness. Water pressure was very good. The interior was unique and beautiful. Exterior is superb as well. Location is great; only a few minutes walk from the escalator. The balcony was spacious with a table and chairs.

Desventajas: No free water. Some ants in the bathroom. Green gate to the Santa Luzia Sanctuary was closed on our departure day, so we had to jump off the stone fence. There weren't too many electric sockets in the room.

Ventajas: Stunning location, offered superior room with balcony overlooking basilica, able to play grand piano, food fabulous, service genuine and kind. Room a wonderful surprise. Great wine at good prices. Simply gorgeous. Ample parking for road travellers.

Ventajas: It was a very positive surprise. The welcome was very friendly and we benefited from an upgrade to a large bedroom which has two large windows. It's very well located and offers a good breakfast.

Ventajas: The relaxed ambience, the heritage building done up so well, breakfast and caring staff

Desventajas: We liked everything. It would have been nice to have had a kettle in the room but the very nice receptionist provide some cups and hot water.

Ventajas: Incredibly friendly staff. The hotel is beautiful. Location amazing and breakfast lovely also. The only thing is that we booked a twin room but they had none left so had to pay extra for an upgrade. In fairness, we only booked earlier that day. Would still highly recommend.

Ventajas: La ubicación inmejorable y las instalaciones con muebles antiguos y confortables, que armonizan con sus 500 años de historia. No es para nada económico, teniendo en cuenta que lo contraté sin desayuno y el estacionamiento es de pago, pero la experiencia de pasar al menos una noche en una casa restaurada con tanta historia, valió la pena. Muy amable el personal.

Desventajas: Que no disponga de estacionamiento gratis en las cercanías.

Ventajas: Muy bien situado,el edificio con encanto.Y el trato del personal inmejorable.

Ventajas: Estuvimos en el anexo, la parte nueva del hotel y todo estaba muy moderna, limpia y comoda. El desayuno estaba bien y variado. El personal de recepción super amables.

Desventajas: El edificio principal es un poco oscuro y el comedor donde desayunamos algo deprimente.

Ventajas: Great restaurant attached to the hotel. Our waiter, Hugo(?) was excellent and the food was phenomenal. The receptionists were also very helpful and lovely. The room was clean and comfortable.

Ventajas: La ubicación excelente para recorrer Viana, el restaurante tiene una carta pequeña, pero todo estaba delicioso. Y el personal muy amable tanto en recepción como en desayuno y cena.

Desventajas: El tamaño de la habitación era pequeño y la cama no muy cómoda.

Ventajas: Todo sin excepciòn. Trato, recibimiento, instalaciones, estado de los jardines, privacidad, etc.

Desventajas: Faltaba luz en el aparcamiento, algo que se nos comunicò que estaba en proceso de solucionar.

Ventajas: Nos encantó el entorno, la Quinta, muy bien cuidada y con un bosque precioso. La hospitalidad de Gabriel, lo pendiente que estuvo de todo y en todo momento. Limpieza sobresaliente, la habitación preciosa y muy cómoda..... un desayuno saludable y delicioso. Los detalles de bienvenida, botella de agua y vino. Escapada muy recomendable y perfecta!!

Desventajas: No hay nada que no nos haya gustado. Ha sido perfecto. Por supuesto lo recomendamos al 100%. Nos han hecho sentir muy cómodos y como en casa, algo difícil de conseguir. Felicidades!!

Ventajas: It's a very beautiful and quiet setting, the bed is probably one of the most comfortable I have ever slept in.

Desventajas: The breakfast was good, but small quantity. If you happen to not like one of the items then you'll be hungry. Exzample, 2 very thin slices of cheese per person, one thin slice of ham and 1 small slice of marmalade. If you do'nt like any of these items (I don't like ham) so I was stuck with 2 minute slices of cheese and a tiny bit of marmalade. While we were there the internet did not work at any time, and the tv didn't work either, so it wasn't very possible to just chill out to watch a film in the end of a sightseeing day. We requested if there were some dvds we could watch but the only solution we were given was to hang out on the common room. We had taken a weekend to hang out with each other and chill so it wasn't an option for us. On the last day, there was no electricity in our flat, so we couldn't shower. When checking the lectrical board it became apparent that the wiring was old and it seemed a bit unsafe. None of these things are the end of the world, but for the price they charge, I would expect a little bit more professionalism.

The breakfast gets to your door every morning, also option for vegetarians. The house is cleaned properly every day. Big thanks to Gabriel and Katherine for their hospitality. There are several walking trails near the property.

Ventajas: La suit dónde nos ospedamos, pero sobre todo CATERINA es una persona joven pero tiene algo muy especial tiene don de gentes y sobre todo es una muy buena persona y que decir una gran profesional. Si Yo personalmente monto un negocio del ramo contactaria con Ella para jefa de recepción como mínimo.(todo un valor en alza, no sé cómo puede estar como eventual en su puesto)

Ventajas: La limpieza y decoracion muy original de todas las instalaciones con el tema del chocolate. El chocolate + cocktail de bienvenida y el detalle entregado a la salida.

Desventajas: El horario del museo. Llegamos sobre las 18:00 H y ya no pudimos entrar. Al dia siguiente saliamos temprano y solo abria a las 10am.

Ventajas: El hotel es fantástico,muy bien decorado, ubicado y pensado. Todo huele a chocolate. Tiene habitaciones temáticas preciosas, con mucha diversidad. El personal muy amable y atento. Tiene visita guiada a la fábrica de chocolate, cafetería, pastelería y tienda de productos relacionados con el chocolate. Para ir en familia es perfecto Está muy bien ubicado

Ventajas: Lovely rebuilt hotel incorporating some of the old factory. Chocolate themed rooms and chocolates in the room. Very comfortable beds. As a pilgrim on the camino, it was wonderful to find the hotel actually on the route! Your stay includes a visit to the chocolate museum and a drink from the café. I had a chocolate cocktail!

Ventajas: Rooms, designs, theme, staff, welcome drink, bed (size and comfy), location, breakfast - everything was amazing! Excellent stay along the Camino Portugues (Coastal route) and well worth the slightly higher price point.

Desventajas: Chocolate museum was closed when we arrived (closes at 18:00, opens at 10:00)

Ventajas: From the moment we arrived, to find chocolate buttons on the check in desk, staffed by attentive and welcoming staff, we thoroughly enjoyed this hotel. It is directly on the Camino and easy to find. Big room and bigger bed!! Spacious shower a d immaculate bathroom. Chocolate everywhere..including the room fragrance..great fun. Breakfast was superb and all good quality . 10/10 is not enough!!!❤️

Desventajas: Perfection... Only slight niggle was the small coffee pot on buffet...more than cancelled out by the high quality buffet

Ventajas: La cama es de las mejores en las que dormí. Súper cómoda.

Desventajas: El hotel está bien, pero sin más.. llevaba las espectativas muy altas después de leer los comentarios, y nada fuera de lo normal. La habitación justita para andar, ponen que hay servicio de spa y lo que hay son masajes de pago, claro.. el desayuno normalito (que es suficiente), comparado con otros hoteles. Con la luz del baño automaticamente se enciende un extractor ruidoso, que resulta muy molesto.

Ventajas: The room is very clean, with a comfortable bed. Big and clean bathroom. The guy from reception very nice, he didn't speak English too good, but he tried in all the languages he knew to tell us all about the town. They have a nice garden, where you can relax.

Desventajas: The location is not quite good. We were on bikes and it was ok for us, but walking is like 20 minutes from center.

Ventajas: El hotel es sencillo pero muy acogedor, todos los servicios funcionan perfectamente, la habitación y baño bastante cómodos, se encuentra a unos 2,0 Kms del centro de la ciudad lo que hace sentir que te desconectas un poco sin retirarte demasiado. El desayuno tipo continental estuvo muy bien pero lo que más destaca es la atención del propietario, sólo a el se le debería dar calificación a parte. Relación: precio-calidad-servicios-atención 10+

Ventajas: Muy buen trato por parte del personal y muy atentos con nosotros. Zona tranquila situada a escasos minutos de Viana. Excelente relación calidad/precio.

Ventajas: The staff was very friendly, I had a reservation for a standard bedroom and they switched me to a renovated one because it was free at the moment. The room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast had a view to the little river and the fields, super relaxing!

Ventajas: Las instalaciones están muy cuidadas y limpias además de ser relativamente nuevas, el personal es muy amable y atento, el garaje cubierto es muy barato, el desayuno es muy bueno y la habitación muy tranquila, grande, limpia, y con todo lo necesario para tener una estancia perfecta, por poner un pequeño pero quizá la tv es algo pequeña para estos tiempos.

Desventajas: La piscina interior tiene el agua un poco fría, quizá con tres o cuatro grados más de temperatura sería perfecta.

Ventajas: El desayuno correcto aunque mejorable. Para llegar al centro hay que invertir unos 20 minutos de paseo. La habitación con mucho espacio y camas cómodas y con un cuarto de baño muy amplio. Muy silencioso, apenas se escuchaba ningún ruido.

Desventajas: La habitación estaba siempre fría, no podíamos regular la temperatura. Nosotros fuimos por el Spa pero fué una decepción, pocos elementos. Hemos estado en otros hoteles no tan modernos pero con este tipo de instalaciones muy superiores. Cuando sales tienes que pasar por un gimnasio donde hay gente de la calle utilizando las instalaciones y a una temperatura muy baja con el consiguiente contraste con el agua del Spa. Tanto en la piscina como en el Spa hay cursos para niños con lo que no los puedes utilizar hasta que acaban.

Desventajas: Long way from town. We drove in each day. There was a power cut and we were trapped in the lift!

Ventajas: The room- nice size. Excellent shower. The back patio and view were such a treat.

Desventajas: European style breakfast isn’t enough protein for a day on the Camino. Would have loved to have an option for something with protein- eggs, or at least yogurt. Bread with jam and cheese, orange juice and coffee or tea were offered.And what looked to be flan. However the fresh fruit was delicious- such good melon!

Ventajas: desayuno continental muy bueno, zumo, cafe, algo de fruta, dulce (en este caso un pequeño trozo de bolo rei típico de la época) y queso.... La habitación aunque algo pequeña es mas que suficiente para dormir, muy limpia y una terraza pequeña pero agradable. El baño mucho mas limpio que el de algunos grandes hoteles. Lugar muy cercano a todo lo que hay que ver y disfrutar y tranquilo para domir. Muy buen trato de parte del personal. Recomendado seguro, yo volveré.

Desventajas: La habitación podría ser un poco mas amplia y el dulce del desayuno algo fino cortado.

Ventajas: A very nice location, in the historical center. Relatively quiet, tho' with some noise from a bakery across the street. It gets quiet by around 9 pm, so it isn't a big deal. Comfortable bed. Very clean room. Friendly staff although they aren't very present, because they also are busy running a restaurant down stairs.

Desventajas: The shower was not as hot as I like it. It was warm enough to be okay, but a little disappointing. The fact that there is seldom anyone at the front desk is not great, although you can always get someone's attention by going down to the restaurant. And the people running the place ARE friendly and helpful.

Ventajas: Trato excelente, habitación e instalaciones impecables, desayuno exquisito y variado. Personal muy atento y educado y además situado en pleno centro de Viana. También hay un parking cerquita en el que tienes la opción de dejar el coche 24h por solo 5€. Mejor imposible para una ciudad con mucho encanto.

Ventajas: When we found people which worked there they where super friendly. The rooms where clean, cute wnd comfortable. The City was beautiful and the hotel is in the middle of the city center :-D

Desventajas: At the reception was verry often noone. It was hard to find people to ask questions.

Ventajas: The location is great, in the heart of Viana do Castello. We got a spacious deluxe room with a view of the Basillica. Pastelaria Manuel Natario is right across the street- hot Bolas de Berlim at 11:30 every day!

Desventajas: Walls are thin, we could hear our neighbors very clearly. Reception was only really open in the afternoon for checkin, we didn't realize that we could checkout in the restaurant after breakfast. No elevators.

Ventajas: Edificio antiguo, rehabilitado y con una excelente ubicación. El personal muy acogedor.

Desventajas: El aislamiento acústico era mejorable.

Ventajas: The accommodation is in a very good location in the old centre but in a quiet street, it's also quite close to the train- and busstation. The owner and the staff are very friendly and helpful. Allthough the breakfast wasn't big, the quality was really good, everything was very fresh and tasty. I also had a light meal in the restaurant that belongs to the accommodation and what I ordered was also good quality!

Desventajas: The walls of teh room are a bit thin so I could hear the neighbours sometimes but it wasn't really a problem.

Ventajas: Friendly staff and great central location. Nice comfortable room and breakfast ok with cake. A visit up to the Basilica is reccomended,fantastic views from there and even better if you venture up the Dome.

Desventajas: Some street noise may be heard if you have a room at the front.

Ventajas: Esta en pleno centro de Viana, y para ir a la playa, aunque hay que coger el coche, queda a unos dos minutos. El hotel muy limpio.

Desventajas: Para aparcar hay que meter el coche en el parking subterráneo.

Ventajas: The location was definitely the best part of this hotel - it is a quick walk from the train station (which is in a lovely part of town itself) and located within the bounds of the medieval center of town. There are lots of sights, museums, and restaurants in the area. It's about a 20-minute walk to Praia Norte, but it's an easy walk so we didn't mind. The table service during breakfast was also very nice - felt like being waited on in a restaurant!

Desventajas: We left the window open overnight and the street cleaners woke us up - not the hotel's fault, but just something to be mindful of if your room overlooks the straight as ours did.

Desventajas: Ruidoso en la noche por la calle. Fue en fin de semana y los bares debieron estar abiertos hasta muy tarde.

Ventajas: The young lady on the reception desk was very friendly and welcoming and helpful in suggesting places to visit during our stay. The room was clean, simply furnished and the bed comfortable. Breakfast was also very adequate. Free public parking is available a short distance away but this needs to be timed for late afternoon. There is also a nearer underground car park.

Desventajas: Suggest that it is not worth paying more for a room with a river view as one has to strain the neck to see it. Our room with the supposed river view also incurred a lot of traffic noise.

Desventajas: En la reserva ponía habitación con vistas a la ciudad y la realidad era vistas a una especie de patio de luces. Por cierto nos cobraron la estancia al llegar, no al salir como es habitual.

Ventajas: The hotel had a great style and a comfortable room. We arrived during a festival which meant the street outside was loud but we were able to use the air con so we could still sleep. Good breakfast selection.

Ventajas: Both João and Christina went out of their way to make it an amazing stay. João walked across the street to the parking lot to find us and get us from the car to the hotel, and later, on his own time he came back to tell us that we had left our lights on. We arrived in the middle of a three day festival and the staff made sure we got the best out of it.

Sin secador de pelo y solo un bote que hacía las funciones de gel baño y champú. El desayuno era muy basico

Ventajas: Es un lugar mágico. Tranquilo a más no poder. Las habitaciones y la decoración te sumergen en otra época. Los jardines, espectaculares. La atención del personal, amabilisima.

Desventajas: Faltaban los típicos botes de champú y gel, jabón que vienen bien si te quieres refrescar según llegas. En uno de las duchas no había donde poner botes, esponjas,.... La entrada en coche un poco complicada si el coche es grande pero es el precio a pagar por alojarse en una casona antigua

Ventajas: La casa es un oasis maravilloso de tranqulidad, paz y descanso. La quinta tiene 8 apartamentos, una piscina pequeña, y un jardín enorme. Estuvimos en el apartamento 1: tiene dos dormitorios pequeños pero muy coquetos, un salón mediano y una cocina americana muy pequeña pero con todo lo necesario para hacer de comer y un baño mediano. Todo está muy limpio y muy cuidado. Las camas son muy cómodas. El desayuno no tiene mucha variedad pero da igual porque tiene de todo lo que habitualmente se desayuna, buena calidad y mucho cuidado en la presentación, todo muy fresco (la fruta es del mismo jardin y huerto de la quinta). Los dueños viven en la misma casa. Internet funciona estupendamente en el apartamento. Justo al lado hay un Continente y justo en frente otro supermercado más pequeño. La dueña nos llamó antes por si necesitábamos ayuda e indicaciones para llegar; luego nos explicó todo lo que podíamos hacer en Viana de Castelo y nos dió consejos para comer, aparcar en el centro, etc... Un encanto de persona.

Desventajas: Nos gustó todo pero quizá el café del desayuno podría ser casero también en lugar de ser de máquina (aunque para ser de máquina no está nada mal), y yo pondría el cubo de basurade la cocina un poco más grande.

Ventajas: El entorno entre la naturaleza por los jardines de la casa y la piscina.

Desventajas: El equipamiento de la habitación. De estilo antiguo, pero un poco desfasada para los servicios que se demandan hoy, como WIFI, con una señal tan baja que no funcionaba.

Ventajas: Unique experience really. We stayed in the apartment #1 for the family for 4-5 people. It was beyond our expectation - great atmosphere, spacious and very, very comfortable. The adjacent territory of this accommodation is amazing - impressive landscaping, parking insight. This place clearly has historic heritage! If you travel by a car with family, this is the best choice ever - at least it was for us. Very friendly personnel. Lastly - breakfast! Not Sofitel range of choices but everything was delicious and fresh. Great serving of the tables. If we are ever around, we will definitely select this location.

Ventajas: La habitación amplia y comoda, ideal para familia (somos 4). Desayuno variado y en un comedor con vistas al mar. La zona en la que está ubicado tiene una parte pegada al poligono, pero hacia el otro hay zona de paseo con parques y restaurantes, con vistas estupendas al mar. En coche no lleva ni 5 minutos llegar al centro.

Desventajas: La piscina pertenece a un gimnasio que está comunicado con el hotel, que aunque está bien y tiene socorrista no es apropiada para que jueguen los niños.

Ventajas: Ubicación y vistas espectaculares, habitaciones amplias y bien decoradas, buen spa marino ,comedor muy agradable cena y desayuno de muy buen nivel .

Desventajas: Nos tuvieron que cambiar de habitación porque la puerta no cerraba bien y se abrió con el viento los chorros del spa no funcionan o lo hacen con un sistema de fichas poco práctico
