Loved the pools and access to so many things around the hotel The smoke detectors went off at 3:15 am in both the hallway and 1 of our 2 room suite! A neighbor then began yelling at someone else about having a cigarette. We even had to change from our original room due to the lingering smell of smoke from previous guests.
Probably the most excellent staff at any Hyatt, I have ever stayed. It was my daughter's 9th birthday and they made her feel like a million bucks. Send a card to the room signed my more staff members than I have family. The pools are great. The water slides are even better and the beach is clean and well-maintained. I will be coming back.
Our hotel reeked of smoke even though it was considered a non-smoking room. I wouldn't have minded except that I have two young children and the hotel was at 100% capacity. Also, $38/night for parking is a little ridiculous.
The hotel was clean and location was fantastic. No parking. I was charged a 25$ fee per day as a "resort fee". I have never seen this in my entire life, and this fee was not included when I made the booking. I feel cheated by kayak. Complained to reception at checkout and they said all I can do is email kayak.
The staff was absolutely amazing. So friendly and accommodating. Really made the hotel something special. The shower/bathroom wasn't great, and the walls were paper thin. Also, the bed wasn't very comfortable.
Beach front location. Not worth it, deluxe king $536 was dated and noisy on the ground floor. Lots of extra charges - rest fee $25, valet $36, breakfast allowance $75, if two people take the buffet and have a coffee each that's already over the $75 allowance! Rude, defensive front desk. Very unimpressed.
Great location with everything you could ever want in a resort hotel.
The hotel was very accommodating and the staff was nice. They had all the amenities from beech crushers to surf boards. The kids had fun in the pools and roasting marshmallows. All around great time!!!! The long walk to the room from the lobby!
It's clean, great location, reasonable price. the staff was overly accommodating & wonderful. all staff members acknowledged me in hallways, valet, etc. etc. I didn't think the quality of food at zamzala (?) was that great but wouldn't keep me from returning.
We enjoyed our stay in your hotel. Your accomodations were excellent and your staff were very courtious and helpful. You need to provide more staff during heavy check out times such as Sunday before noon.
Close to the action, new, modern look. They lie about having bathtubs, turndown service, etc.
I feel this hotel is setting the new standard for V.I.P.
Loved the bathroom and bed, the two most important areas for me when I travel. I upgraded my room once I arrived and my room had a great patio/balcony with two outdoor loungers and a table with 4 chairs, allowing for entertaining friends outside instead of in the room. I wasn't crazy about the "pet friendly" policy since I'm not a dog fan, but it wasn't really a problem.
location, location, location no
The staff made it for us. They were accommodating, attentive, and courteous. The location is walking distance to many shops, eateries, and beach. Pets are allowed and not charged excessively. The rooms are clean Euro style. I was thought we were getting a hotel on the beach but it was across the street. When I called to check on the reservation I made a remark what a great deal it was $ wise for a hotel room on the beach and I was never informed that it was not on the beach. The booking reservations department misinformed us on pet rules on the beach.
Easy access to the seashore and beautiful view of the Pacific Coast Line from the room. NO
Huntington Beach downtown area was nice, close & convenient. Poor lighting in room and bathroom/ no fan in bathroom.
Shopping and dining. Absolutely no complaints at all! By far, the best hotel we have ever stayed at. Not only have we stayed in 4 Star hotels, I've also worked for one and they could not compare to the excellent service we received from the Shorebreak!
What a friendly and service oriented team! Made us feel very welcome and well taken care of.
Staff was very courteous and friendly. Excellent customer service. The location was great. Loved taking the shuttle to Disneyland from the hotel. Hotel is well kept. Loved the lobby - spacious. The Starbucks, gift shop and deli. Even thought we felt self parking was expenses we appreciated that the parking was adjacent to the hotel. Overall we had a wonderful time at the Hyatt Regency Orange County and we look forward to staying there again. The mattress' were not comfortable. The pillows looked worn, pretty flat. Housekeeping didn't leave us enough towels on two days. We got confused when we drove up to the hotel and staff (not sure if they were all Valet staff) came to our car and immediately asked us if self park or valet. and began to pull our bags out of the card. We had no idea what we were going to do without checking in first. That was a bit overwhelming. We felt self parking was too expenses.
Everything was very good overall and with a few minor issues (mostly personal things) they did a very good job with everything. Room was clean, as well as the bathroom. View was super nice and clear from the 16th floor, south tower. Staff in hotel was courteous and fast. Soap in bathroom was used. TV was pure static. No complimentary breakfast. Valet was sort of rude.
It was clean, convenient for our conference, room was comfortable, staff and service was above expectations. Hotel food/restaurant/bar was good. Also close to other restaurants.
Loved the location, room cleaness, staff was very friendly and bed was confortable. Breakfast buffet was a bit over priced.
This is our 4th stay in Hyatt regency orange county this represent how we are loyal to this hotel we just feel like home
The hotel lobby was beautiful and the employees were very nice. We had 3 different groups of family coming in and the person who checked us in gave us top notch service and was able to let us check-into our rooms early. He even let us have free shuttle tickets for everyone for Disneyland. I definitely will be back. With a group of 12 of us it was much easier to have the breakfast buffet at the restaurant in the lobby. it turned out great!
I have had a big problem staying there due to the feather pillows. The air system is very dusty with a poor filter. The pillows are full of dust. I had a bad allergic reaction to the dust. The service was very good.
The hotel has an amazing staff. The two restaurants are very good and offer really good food unlike most hotel restaurants. We had the one bedroom suite and it was very clean. The hotel has its own shuttle bus going to and from Disney check out is at 1200 am. I paid $170 per night and it was far better than the Fairfield inn by Marriott which is located right across the main entrance to Disney Land. There is a Starbucks inside the hotel!! The prices in the little store of the hotel are somewhat ridiculous but it is a great hotel. Parking is rediculous with $27 per night. One Bus is not enough during peak hours to get guests to park.
The staff was extremely nice and helpful!
The staff was AMAZING there! we loved out stay. The hotel is a bit dated but it was a great value for the deal we got.
Easy access via shuttle which is convenient. The shuttle/parking should be free for guests... I wouls have given an extra star for the extra value.
My husband ran in the Star Wars half marathon and the hotel was in a great location to see runners pass hotel twice. Located directly across from Target and ample restaurant choices. We liked the separate bedroom from the front room. We used the pull out sofa bed and it was a back breaker! The day shuttle pass was over-priced @ $6/adult, $3/kids. Will look in to uber/lyft next time.
Location as far as food/shopping options. Staff was great. Having the Starbucks in the hotel. Cleanliness Mile and half walk to Disneyland. Having to pay for shuttle, 6 dollars per person per day
Aire acondicionado ruidoso y no me dejó dormir
Staff was great standard room is a suite. Free papers in the lobby Starbucks in lobby. First room has broken sofa bed we moved fast and with no hassle. No safe in rooms
The rooms were beyond what I expected The vending machines were not equipped with any beverage we had to travel to every floor before finding one that only gave us one drink before running out itself.
Starbucks in Lobby, great choices of restaurants basically in the parking lot.
It was roomy, clean and comfortable. Couldn't ask for much more. Staff was friendly too. Convienent to Disneyland My room had minor maintenance issues, charged for parking and no free breakfast.
View Parking at night is horrible had to park very far from door and very dark.
Room size was spacious. Good restaurants on same corner. Charge for parking and shuttle to Disneyland was excessive. Parking $15 per night. Disney shuttle $6 per adult, $3 per child per day. Instead of using shuttle we took an uber each way which was about $6.
Size of hotel room - spacious. N/a
The room was very nice and clean. One thing was that the fire alarm in the room was broken.

The staff was friendly. It was very noisy at all hours of the day and night and it was difficult to sleep. The mattress was saggy. The people who were staying there were sketchy and I didn't feel safe. I was glad my husband was traveling with me. We won't be back.
Loud neighbor's with crude language, did not feel very safe with my kids. Room smelled bad, was not what I expected.

Location, couple minute drive to down town. Walls were paper thin. Could hear rooms conversations next to me. I could even hear snoring, worst sleep I had in a long time.
Bed was comfortable I could hear people outside more than I wanted.
It seemed like most of the patrons were older and there for leisure. There was a lot of friendly hanging out and hello's when walking outside of the room. Overall everyone was quiet and very nice.
The hotel was clean, comfortable, and offered a good selection of items for the continental breakfast. No
The room was very nice, comfortable and had all the amenities. Great rate!

Employees and good breakfast Smoking was allowed outside rooms on sidewalk. Interior door connected to another room.
Room was too musty smelling and humid
Room was clean and roomy Trying to get the payment for the room correct.
Room was clean and just as advertised. Front desk Staff was helpful and went above and beyond to send balloons and cookies to our room for my son's birthday. Breakfast was outstanding each morning and the breakfast staff was amazing. The workers never stopped moving- cleaning, replenishing, and even handing out stickers and activity sheets to the kids! Location was great- quick shuttle ride (additional ticket required) right up to the gates of Disneyland.
The 2 room suite is wonderful with a full kitchen. The floor in the breakfast area was sticky both mornings we were there. Spills should be cleaned quickly to avoid this.
I was disappointed that there is no "complimentary breakfast". For the price, you would expect not to have to pay that much for a breakfast. This would prevent me from staying at this hotel again. I would choose one with complimentary breakfast.
I like the location of the hotel. it was convenient40 z traveling around easy traveling around the area. In addition, it was near a strip mall and a wide variety of restaurants. I was under the impression that it was a non smoking hotel. I woke up two days in a row with my newborn's hair smelling with the stench of smoke from the comforter. The staff were not friendly. they constantly asked my two ethnic teenagers for their room key each time they entered the hotel. And once they took the key from my son when he was trying to use the vending machine to verify my name on the reservation before returning it back to him. lastly when I was attempting to get the continental breakfast, I learned that you had to pay for the breakfast. For some reason my son and i were picked out randomly amongst an entire crowd of people to be asked for a buffet a ticket.I inform them that I thought it was included being the fact that a majority of hotels I have stayed in have always included continental breakfast. Instead of her explaining to me nicely and in a professional tone, the staff member it loudly and rudely told me" you don't have any money you have to pay to eat here" I was so embarrassed that I just put the food down and walked away. of course I have money to pay for the breakfast if I have money for the hotel duh! She could have kindly informed me that it was not included with the traditional hotels day and that a buffet voucher can be purchased at the front desk or bill to my room. I just found it strange that she picked us out of the entire crowd to ask us.i did not appreciate her loud talking me. I also did not appreciate the other staff members standing around me and my son as if we were going to cause a commotion.amongst a few other things that take too much time to mention, I just decided to come upstairs and pack my bags and leave. I decided to stay at another hotel for the rest of our trip. such a disappointment
Good location, clean rooms, pleasant staff. Parking fee, housekeeping was still cleaning rooms at 5:00 p.m.
Breakfast crew. Excellent. Having to pay for daily parking when the Hampton Inn next door had free parking!!!!!
Room was bigger and better equipped than we expected. The convenience of the shuttlebus and availability of early breakfast made it the ideal location for visiting Disney.
Pretty aged facility...
Great hot breakfast as well as evening reception meal. It was close 5min drive to Disneyland Resort parking. Paying extra for hotel parking, $12/night.
Nothing Will not stay here ever again. I regretted it the second we turned into the motel and saw how dirty and run down the building looked. Regretted it even more when I walked in to the front desk to check in and realized this was a family owned business. The room was smelly, dingy and overall dirty. The bathroom mirror was rusted, the shower head was molding, the bath tub was dirty and super tiny and the toilet is literally wedged in between the door and the bathtub. I felt dirty even after I showered and I was horrified that the bed also smelled. Book if you date!!! You'll have night mares about this place for days!
the oversized bathroom was great i did not like the outrageous hike in price due to the 4th of july holiday.
close to beach a little noisy a little less clean than most hotels
Get what you pay for
Location of hotel to local beach
Like the location. Only place with available room on short notice - same day. Just needed a quick cheap place to stay. Check in staff was not friendly and quoted different price than what was available online. I reserved a single Queen room and got a room that had a full and a twin. Check in person told me that if I even touched the twin bed, I would be charged $30 more. Generally rude. Room was very dated and did not feel clean.
The location next to the Naval Weapons Station, Boeing facilities, and the city of Seal Beach. The smell and the facilities seemed a little run down.
It was close to my house during my termite tenting... Too much noise all night. People running down the halls and taking showers at all hours of the night. The electricity and phone went off for over an hour and no one came to check on me or ask if I needed anything. It was extremely inconvenient. I was not offered an apology and when I asked what they planned on as a compensation for the inconvenience I was told that I would be called and it would be taken care of. I was not called. Very poor staff and poor management . I would never stay at this hotel or any under the same name.. The tub was gross and not cleaned...I had to clean it before I used it...the microwave sparked when I tried to pop popcorn that they gave me. All on all it was an awful experience.
