No
Just spent one night but heart of the Houston Medical Center. Can't be beat. Staff friendly and efficient. Easy valet parking (not cheap - but nothing is in the Medical Center). I'm told by my brother there's a very nice gym and pool there - but as I was scheduled for surgery, wasn't able to avail. They alsohave a convenient van available to drive you in a 2 mile radius around the Center. - Messed up the billing. After putting my brother's room on my card they still went ahead and charged him. - Bar on 2nd floor was difficult to find a server. Appetizers ordered were worse than hospital food!
Very clean, large and confortable rooms! Very friendly and helpful hotel stuff!
Value for the price, location to local attractions and great dining.
The pillows were wonderful! The only coffee available was from the nasty coffee maker in the room. No continental breakfast offered.
Typical Hilton hotel, superbly located at the Houston Med Center and Rice University. Very friendly and helpful staff, and a very good restaurant.
Air conditioner worked but was very noisy. Also one of the elevators was broken
walking distance to light rail, and bus stops.. 4-5 bus stops south of museum distract.. AMAZING location nothing special
Breakfast bar every morning and shuttle drivers were very courteous as well as staff. Construction next door lots of noise and they took up a lot of parking and blocked vehicle in several times had to find some one on crew to move vehicles or blockades to get out. Room smelled a little musty and shuttle didn't run on weekends. Only Monday thru Friday.
my hotel room had a strong smell that was very strange, and the carpet looked like it had just had something scrubbed out of it poorly: it was very wavy and uneven and had come loose from all of the carpet tacks in the middle. as a business traveler I spent very little time in the room which was OK, but I would definitely not go there on any kind of vacation
Didn't get room we were confirmed for. Undependable shuttle service
The Best Western Plaza is a basic hotel for the budget minded traveler. Located right in the Medical Center, many medical destinations are walkable. The beds are comfortable, a decent hot breakfast is included, and parking is free. On either side are a Hilton and a Wyndham, with rooms costing at least twice as much for those more interested in fancy shampoos and bellhop service. .
The clients of this Best Western are mostly for patients or those with buisness in the Texas Medical Center. The staff are very couteous and cooperative. The lobby, dining area, and rooms were clean and comfortable. Great location for price and they offer a shuttle to the Med Center. Free parking, breakfast, wifi, and gym. Easy to navigate to (it is right off Main Street).
Free very good breakfast. Less than 10 minutes walking distance to MD Anderson main building. They have a shuttle van to and from any part of the medical center on the hour on weekdays. There is a small pool and clean small gym. Amenities: if you need it, you can ask from toothbrush, toothpaste, razor, shave gel. No shuttle to and from airport. Not very close to any shopping center, grocery stores, drug store. Walking distance to nearest CVS was 15-20 minutes brisk walking.
The pool and hot tub were nice, the location is very good. I booked the hotel online and paid for the room. The hotel then charged me for the room a second time the day after my stay. If I wouldn't have audited my credit card purchases, I would have paid for the room twice. I am disappointed with the Best Western Medical Center Houston, and I would not stay there again because of this.
