Ventajas: Incredible spa with stunning views. The glass pool was mind blowing! The room was modern, clean and very spacious. Also was very close to Liseberg park with was perfect for my trip. Breakfast was superb as was the service.

Ventajas: This hotel is very beautiful and luxurious and everybody who visits Göteborg should stay there at least once. The view from the room is super, and the spa center is outstanding, especially with the outdoor pool. The staff is very nice, and the rooms are very comfortable. Especially enjoyed so many pillows on the bed.

Desventajas: The breakfast choice could be a bit better, but otherwise it was quite interesting.

Ventajas: We were there for the birthday of my girlfriend and it was truly extraordinary: incredibly friendly and professional staff went out of their way to make it a perfect experience. The property even exceeds what one would expect from the pictures: especially the Spa with its "levitating" pool 20 floors above the street and the Sauna with an amazing view over the Liseberg amusement park stood out. Also the restaurant was a fantastic experience and it more than deserves its Michelin star.

Desventajas: Couldn't find something if I tried.

Ventajas: The beds are very comfortable

Ventajas: Reception was so welcoming and professional. Very accommodating taking care to ensure all information about the property and surrounding area was shared as well as taking care of dining reservations. Just perfection!

Desventajas: The breakfast menu wasn't as good, and the buffet could have been better. It was fantastic, don't get me wrong, but could have been MUCH better.

Ventajas: Breakfast is excellent. Cleanliness is beyond the expectations. This is the hotel one will never be able to mix with any other.

Desventajas: It's a bit too much of a good thing.The initial "Wow!" very soon turns into being tired of overdoing. There is no evening service in the room that causes a bit of confusion with the towels, as all of them are served all together in the morning.

Ventajas: The breakfast was good. Location is great and with a few minutes you reach the central station. Plenty of food and drinks outlets in the proximity of the hotel.

Desventajas: The Room was very small and the facilities limited. The hotel is a little overpriced.

Ventajas: The breakfast was excellent. So appreciated the “to go” breakfast. Staff was excellent, very accommodating and friendly.

Desventajas: Pillows were way to soft. Hard to close the blinds without light coming in.

Desventajas: It was cold in room, despite I made 24 degree climate. There is not the best solution of double mattress and botom slides on down, when you are mowing on bed.

Ventajas: old style hotel, beautifully decorated. Staff were were very welcoming and showed genuine interest in assisting guests to have a quality stay. Added bonus of lovely afternoon tea served in the foyer every afternoon.

Ventajas: Beautiful styled hotel. Superior room was big enough just like the bathroom. Free coffee and tea with cake in the lobby. Very good breakfast!

Desventajas: Could have had a safe and a small fridge on the room for this price. Although there's free coffee and tea in the lobby , I would have liked to have the opportunity to make some as well in the room.

Ventajas: Ambiente muy cuidado. Desayuno espectacular, había hasta una máquina para hacer goffres. La terraza interior con mesas para disfrutar por la tarde del tradicional Fika sueco. Muy próximo a la estación de autobuses (conexión con aeropuerto) y de ferrocarril, y de la zona comercial de la ciudad.

Ventajas: Extremely kind and thoughtful staff, awesome breakfast (the same buffet choices every day, but good quality), lovely old style decoration. The bathroom was totally new and always very clean. The WiFi just works and it's fast (but it's not protected so you shouldn't use it without VPN)

Desventajas: The bed and pillows weren't great. And I could hear noises from the street. So sleeping was a bit challenging sometimes.

Desventajas: I only stay one night, they let me pay two nights.

Ventajas: The staff was so friendly and helpful. I was always met with a smile.

Ventajas: Super good breakfast and very nice host :) Location is also great as a tram stop is just a 1 minute walk from 5:ans.

Ventajas: Perfect place in calm surroundings, with great breakfast (e.g.homemade tasty hummus), very clean bathrooms and toilets, very nice owner and fast wifi. There are even cookies, fruits, tea and coffee for free and you have some water in your room.

Desventajas: Unfortunately the walls are thin so you can hear your neighbors talking.

Ventajas: clean and cozy like home, grocery store nearby, good Breakfast.

Ventajas: Very clean, very comfy, fantastic location (tram passes right in front and Gothia towers is just 5 minutes walk, or 2 stops from tram). Very welcoming host.

Desventajas: No bathroom in the room. We did know that beforehand, but still a bit annoying.

Ventajas: Quiet b&b, very clean and easy to get to with the tram (stops right outside the building). Safe, quiet location. On the outskirts of the city - 20 mins on tram into the centre or 35/40 min walk to centre. Great, cold breakfast with big variety of cereal/fruit/pastries/cheese/bread/tea/coffee. Separate toilets and showers which were all very clean. Good contact with the owner re. accessing the building without meeting the owner. Would stay again!

Desventajas: I liked everything. Obviously, just keep in mind it is not in the centre but so easily accessed via the public transport.

Ventajas: Amazing. Over my expectations. Not luxuary, but very very comfortable, cosy and warm atmosphere. They have put alot of effort in the details. Everything is clean and working. +only 5 stops with tram from Gothenburg central, the tramstation is very close to the house +very fast reaction to my emails and enquiries .

Desventajas: I miss a small mini-bar or similar to purchase snacks and drinks

Ventajas: Location is top for congress in Gothia Towers. Tramway no 5 is on 50 meters. Nice and quiet location. Super friendly owner Stina. Healthy breakfast.

Desventajas: I'm not used sharing a shower and a toilet, but we knew that in advance and everything was clean.

Ventajas: The place was great and it exceeded our expectations! The interior of this accommodation was very elaborated and it seems that somebody took really good care of a design of this place. Everything was clean and taken care of, the breakfast was wonderful. Bonus was a perfect communication with the owner or a pretty good location near the public transport station and supermarket.

Desventajas: Maybe the only problem was a bad wi-fi signal in our room, but the signal was ok in the hallway and in the kitchen.

Ventajas: Todo estaba muy limpio. Habitación confortable. El baño es compartido pero siempre limpio. Había dos duchas y dos retretes con lavabo. En la habitación te dejan zapatillas de casa, toallas y albornoz. Desayuno bueno y siempre había café y té preparado para tomar gratis a cualquier hora del día con unas galletitas. Parada de tranvía en la puerta del B&B y andando al centro un paseo agradable. Buena relación calidad/precio para lo que se puede encontrar en Suecia.

Ventajas: This is a very beautiful, sexy, fun place to stay, especially with a lover. Very playful, great art, wonderful breakfast, lovely rooftop space and cocktails. Lots of fun.

Desventajas: The sink in our room was blocked and the shower was a little crazy but otherwise very good. Also I stayed twice in one week and the ending time for breakfast had changed and no one let us know so we missed it.

Ventajas: The bar and brasserie....was very nice. Food was so, so....drinks was excellent. The telephone in the room was just a prop...so no way to call reception for help. We booked the royal room...did not look like the one from the website.

Ventajas: This is such a beautiful, cozy hotel! Entering here feels like you're entering a different world and I was not ready to leave anytime soon! Extra fun fact for the ladies - you can actually rent a pair of Laboutin Pigalle shoes here :D Other than that: breakfast is excellent, the staff is very friendly and helpful, there's a great ambiance in this place and it's very clean and cozy. Also, a big plus is a location, smack middle in the city center!

Desventajas: Room was very small. I also felt it was too dark, I know there are dimmers installed but at times I would need more light (putting on makeup in half dark does not make for pretty results).

Ventajas: El Hotel Poseidon es un bonito hotel de gestión familiar cerca del centro de Gotemburgo y cerca de otras zonas interesantes de Gotemburgo. La mayoría de Gotemburgo está a poca distancia a pie, de lo contrario las estaciones de tranvía están cerca del hotel. El buffet de desayuno tiene una buena selección de productos y una maravillosa variedad de panes. Para las otras comidas hay restaurantes en las inmediaciones del hotel.

Ventajas: As soon as I saw this hotel I wished I was staying here longer than 2 nights. Lovely buildings all around. The story of the buildings history is in a folder in the room. Cafes, the canal with boats, Parks and buses and trams were very close. I read that Goteborg was replanned in the style of Paris with wide boulevards. I took a taxi from central station as I didn't know how far was the hotel, really only about 15 minutes walk. The hotel breakfasts are very good in the compact dining room. Reception were very friendly and helpful showing me the shelves of brochures and the tea/coffee available to everyone.

Desventajas: I arrived in Goteborg central station at 7pm on a Sunday night and found that the Information shop was closed so there were no city maps available. it would be useful to have a box of them on the counter for late travellers.

Desventajas: Difficult to bring heavy luggage to second floor. In fairness the lady who checked us in offered help with the luggage but I decided to carry it myself.

Ventajas: Great location, safe area with cool shops and close to Haga. Short walk to airport bus stop and public bike racks. Simple, clean hotel with cafe below and excellent breakfast. Highly recommend for easy stay in central Gothenburg.

Ventajas: Great location, very central yet located in a pretty, quiet narrow lane. Lovely hotel. The attached cafe was open until 7 pm so we could have a light dinner the night we arrived at 6pm

Ventajas: The buffet breakfast was excellent with a wide range of cereals, pastries and other goods available. Gluten-free bread was readily available. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. At this time of the year the courtyard was a bit cold to have breakfast outside but on a summer's day it would provide a glorious start to the day. The cafe is open during the day to the general public and guests get a 25% discount if they show their room details. The room was compact but there was space for hanging and storing clothes and there was a small safe for valuables. The en-suite shower room/loo was excellent and the shower was a 'walk-in' shower with a well-fitting sliding door that preventing any water escaping onto the surrounding floor. A full range of shower gels and soaps was provided. The rooms were kept clean and tidy through-out my stay. The bed was, I think,equivalent to a UK 4ft double bed (ie small double) but was ideal for a single occupant. I found the bed to be rather soft but I usually sleep on a board!. My room also had two small chairs and a TV as well as a small writing desk on which was a basket of chocolates and other sweets that have to be paid for at the end of your stay!

Desventajas: I think the hotel was excellent for a short stay in the heart of the city and as a 'Simple' hotel it catered very well for our needs. The Cafeteria was open during the day but I suspect that most would be out and about after breakfast and there are many restaurants and other food outlets nearby.

Ventajas: Super-central location, only a few steps to public transport. Very close to big shopping mall, in the very midst of the downtown main shopping streets, and just 5 minutes walk to the wonderful botanical garden (which has free entrance, and wonderful plant houses, so worth a visit in all weather conditions!!)

Desventajas: I am aware that the hotel owners are not running the café in which 'frukost' (breakfast) is being served. I would nevertheless like to recommend they ask the staff down there to pay more attention to cleanliness in the café, particularly of the tables and table sets. Wiping those instead of just carrying away the used dishes will do magic!

Ventajas: The location gets an A++. Right downtown, walk to everything. It couldn't have been better. The breakfast was excellent. It was the only hotel we stayed at in Scandinavia that had a basket of complimentary shampoo, conditioner and lotion etc. Most had only one bottle of liquid soap/shampoo. Scrupulously clean. The building also had so much character--felt very European. Loved the courtyard.

Desventajas: Just a heads up: if stairs are an issue, especially with luggage, this might be a problem. (It was not for us.) You have to do stairs to get to the second floor reception, and our room was on the third floor which required an additional curved stone staircase. The room size is a bit snug, but adequate.

Desventajas: Es la segunda vez que estoy en el hotel en dos años y la otra vez tuve mucha mejor experiencia, esta vez la climatización de la habitación no estuvo bien, pasamos frío la primera noche, también volvimos esta vez porque tenían unas salas de juegos para niños y las han quitado, y el desayuno también lo recordaba mejor, esta vez se acababa cosas y tardaban mucho en reponer. También la habitación que nos dieron esta vez estaba más vieja, con el suelo de madera estropeado.

Ventajas: El sitio en el que está y el desayuno. El baño parecía nuevo.

Desventajas: Mal servicio. Al llegar tuve que hacer la cama supletoria y la cama principal estaba mal hecha. Las sábanas no cubrían el colchón. La habitación muy oscura y sin reformar. No parecía la de la foto.

Ventajas: The hotel is in a nice location in a building that was a brewery from 1836. Lovely views of the harbour. Great size room. Breakfast had lots of variety. 20 minute tram ride from Central station and then a 5 min walk.

Desventajas: I was really badly treated on 15/10 Friday night by a waiter of the restaurant. He had just ignore me twice time waiting to be escorted to the table as It was required by the signal. I went close to him and asked if I could seat in one of the free places, but he started to shout very loud that I would wait outside, besides the finger pointing to my face. It was really aggressive and I was completed offended. Since I'm a polite person, I've just told him that I would be doing a complaint about his behavior. I've turn around and went out, but the man just follow me like if he was almost pushing me out. do not use the restaurant of this hotel. I've made a complain to the front desk some minutes later.

Ventajas: The room had a very nice view over the fjord. With the water taxi the city center is within easy reach.

Desventajas: The room appeared a little old-fashioned. The parking lot is not secured, a warning to be especially careful would have avoided a burglary.

Ventajas: The restaurant served a good breakfast with plenty of choice. It was in easy reach of public transport

Desventajas: On check in - in the afternoon, one of our rooms had been cleaned but the bathroom was dirty, and hadn't been cleaned while the second room was n't ready. The next day, the room wasn't cleaned altogether when we got back in the evening. Beds were unmade, linen not changed, tea cups not washed, and complimentary tea not replenished

Ventajas: Watching the river traffic, using Alvesnabben (river bus to city centre), walking along the river, interesting old buildings, easy access to city centre and archipelago by tram. Helpfulness (mostly) of reception staff - full marks to Edouard for finding a classical concert for us. Spacious and comfortable room. Excellent breakfasts with food intolerances well catered for. Ventajas: Choose Novotel primarily for it's proximity to excellent restaurant "Sjömagasinet", one of Gothenburgs (and Swedens) top food stops, especially regarding seafood.

Desventajas: Novotel Gothenburg is nice (and well worth it's price) but can be jammed with kids during high season (July, primarily) due to the hotels policy of allowing guests under 16 to stay without extra charge to the booking. I would not mention this if it was a minor problem, but the usually excellent breakfast experience can easily turn into kindergarten bonanza if you hit the morning tables at the wrong time... Be warned.

Ventajas: The location is great, near the food market (I am a "foodie"), really in the centre so I could walk everywhere discovering the city in my free time. The room is quite spacious, though I got a lower floor which facing neighbours window infront.

Ventajas: The owner of this tiny bed and breakfast place was most accomodating and went beyond anything to make our stay a nice one. I had problems with getting our rental car when we arrived, so we came there by taxi, he did not hestitate driving down to the bus stop when I had to go back to the airport the next morning to pick up the car. The breakfast was fantastic, home backed breads and eggs from the hens outside...they even arranged vegan milk for our son who has milk allergy and fried vegan pancakes for him in the morning. There is so much more to say, we had a lovely stay and would definitly stay again!

Desventajas: We stayed here at the beginning of our trip and at the end. First we got an upgrade to the family room which was very nice with the little kids cave and a ensuite bathroom. The second time we had a shared bathroom which I have to say was much nicer and bigger and cleaner then the private one from our first stay. There was a weird smell in the bathroom and for tall people it was quite difficult to move around. I also had difficulties using the toilet in both rooms. It has two different compartments, one for small buisness and one for number two...it is no fun scooping that out of the first one into the bigger one in the morning just after waking up...

Ventajas: The hosts were amazing. The property was located in a perfect park setting. The breakfast was delicious and beautifully prepared. I loved the philosophy of the b and b.

Desventajas: The family room was a bit small for my American taste, but that's what you get when you stay in an older converted house, so its really nothing to complain about. I'd take this adorably renovated, immaculately clean, beautiful B&B with only a few rooms over a chain hotel on a city street any day hands down. We loved it.

Ventajas: My daughter and I were there for 2 night. Going to the Ed Sheeran Concert in Göteborg. The hotel was sooo nice. We had a room with bathroom. Everything is very small an typical swedish. The beds were very confortable. The breakfast amazing! The host baked the bread, the eggs are coming from the hens in the garden. They have bees - so the honey is also "homeoade". So are the marmelades! Everything is ecological. Very good coffee an the hosts are so nice!! The house is in the forest. Calm and nature pure. 10 minutes to go by car to the city of Göteborg.

Desventajas: The property was not very well taken care of an it was not clean or organized. The bedroom and bathroom is too small.

Ventajas: Everything was perfect. Wonderful place in the forest! So peaceful and comfortable!

Ventajas: Facilities were amazing. Staff were absolutely lovely and more then accommodating. Location was the main selling point being only a stones throw from all the restaurants and bars. Would highly recommend.

Ventajas: Very close to the train and bus terminal. The breakfast was good. Very comfortable stayed.

Desventajas: Somehow, when I checked out I been told I had a gin and tonic at the bar. I did not even pay a visit to the bar. And I have never tried gin and tonic ever. And it was in my room number??? I did not have to pay anyway. My concern here is the security as we all used cards for access.

Desventajas: Somebody might be unpleasantly surprised that some rooms don't have street view, only view on roofed restaurant! If you would not feel comfortable in such room be aware of it when choosing the right one because from my point of view it's not mentioned enough in description.

Ventajas: Paid a bit extra for late check out, as had a late night flight.

Desventajas: Couldn’t get into spa/pool area as apparently it was fully booked on a Saturday and we were told the spa/pool area closes at 7pm which is odd as you would expect pool to be accessible 24/7 especially since we only wanted to relax after a long day in town and didn’t want a massage, etc.

Ventajas: Nice bed, comfy room

Desventajas: The room was facing the atrium, and loud music from the lobby bar could be heard to the room at night. Breakfast buffet was a bit chaotic.

Desventajas: No environmental work. I hang my towel back to show I can use it again but still got new ones.

Ventajas: Habitaciones amplias y decoradas en un bonito estilo escandinavo con colores pastel, muy bien equipadas con camas comodísimas y detalles de cortesía. El baño moderno y amplio. El patio donde se dan los desayunos es inmenso pero decorado de forma muy acogedora y el desayuno muy variado y de buena calidad. Servicio muy agradable en recepción y en el restaurante Noot, que por cierto tiene un menú muy interesante por 40€ (sin bebida).

Ventajas: La comida y las comodidades eran geniales. Cómoda habitación. Fácil acceso al transporte público.

Desventajas: Pidió 2 camas en reserva y registro. Ninguno para mi reserva! celebrado

Desventajas: Location we arrived after nine and there was no shops near by open so we had to pay for water from the mini bar.we were told the water in the tap was safe to drink but that’s something I just never do .

Desventajas: Smoker were not welcome - the wooden bench had a big pot for ash and stubs and was not cleaned in three days. Lots of other garbage was in there. Because no visibe ash trays stubs littered the entrance stairs

Ventajas: How peaceful the roof top terrace was when there wasn't a stag party, food was amazing views stunning staff very helpful

Desventajas: The TV was positioned at the foot of the bed blocking the river side view from the bed Stag party of 10 boys in the hot tubs one night loud and after they left the tubs had to be shut and cleaned

Ventajas: We had a great stay at Radisson Blu! Before booking, we weren't sure about the location, as it's on the other side of the river, further away from the city centre, but it wasn't an issue at all. The ferry stops just outside the hotel and is really fast and goes frequently over to the other side - it was even a fun experience! You can also take the bus which stops a few minutes walk away. The breakfast was really superb, countless options to choose from, all really tasty - you could have pancakes, cereal, fruit, meatballs or even smoked salmon for breakfast if you fancied, and so on. The rooftop spa was really nice too, with amazing views over the city. Our rooms were very comfortable, clean, with nice design furniture - and they even had a pillow menu. The soaps and bathroom products also smelled really nice! Everything was great and we would stay there again!

Desventajas: The only small thing I could mention if I'm being picky, is the cocktail I was made in the spa bar on the rooftop wasn't the best, but they swapped it for another drink as soon as I brought it up, so was sorted promptly.

Desventajas: cheapest toilet paper, small room

Ventajas: friendly, near to the city center, shared bathroom very near

Desventajas: on Check out no body was on the desk to give me the luggage back, i had to call them.

Ventajas: Bathrooms were always clean and there seemed to be enough for the number of rooms, but the shower I used has nothing to stop the water from getting under the curtain and over the floor. The rooms have TV's which was nice to be able to watch in bed. Breakfast was OK, mainly breads, spreads, ham, cheese with boiled eggs, but maybe not enough seats. Location is close enough to walk to the city or central station, but there's also trams around the corner if you have heavy luggage.

Desventajas: When arriving at the building from the other side to where the actual entrance is,, the sign makes it seem like the entrance is there, when in fact it's next to the coffee shop and opposite the metal bar at the other end of the block.

Ventajas: Location, ease of access, fika. Very helpful staff

Desventajas: No toilets or at least a sink in the room.

Ventajas: The staff was very kind and helpful, they even let me lock my baggages for a couple of hours after checking out. The breakfast was simple but tasty, and the staff refilled everything immediatedly.

Desventajas: The room don't have a separate bathroom/toilet

Ventajas: The hostel was in the centre and near the airport bus station, located in a quiet neighbourhood, the staff was nice and helpful. Bathrooms and toilets were super clean, the room was simply but nicely equipped.

Desventajas: We would appreciate more options at the breakfast. There could be better windows curtains, the ones in our room were only decorative and on only 2 windows out of 3. In the room could be some shelf or drawer to store our things.

Ventajas: Enough space for two people

Ventajas: It is an excellent example of an old World European hotel. We had room 151 which is a suite and it was very authentic. Loved our stay, the location is central central and the staff were very attentive.

Desventajas: Our floor by the bed actually had a significant slope! A bit disconcerting but the hotel was built in 1856 so it is to be expected.

Desventajas: Nothing.. breakfast was adequate for me, not sure about others.

Ventajas: The place was exactly as seen in the pictures and we absolutely loved it. There were adequate bathrooms, the bedroom was not too small but not too big and the common areas (especially the kitchenette) were lovely. Very close to the tram and bus stop too. The decor was very simple and modern it was really nice to look at, I would give this hotel 5 stars if I could. The housekeepers did a really good job at keeping the place clean. The self-check-in was super easy and efficient. The door on the outside requires a passcode so it is also very safe.

Desventajas: Unfortunately other people staying in the hotel were a bit dirty, they use items in the kitchen and leave them lying around or don't clean up the table after themselves. Once I found hair in the shower drain and toothpaste all over the sink. If you are a light sleeper, sound from the outside will be a problem. I was awoken many times by the sound of traffic, ambulances , rain and people's chatter. The bed linen only includes one sheet, which means you have to cover yourself with a duvet which was very hot since there was central heating on as well.

Desventajas: I did not like in 207 room problem with balkon door.It was broken and I could not close the door whole night .Ventilation has sound like ghost and it was to noisy for sleeping. Prise is to high because there is no bathroom in the room.Staff was excelent.One girl is working on the reception and breakfast and she was excelent and nice and she wants to help.Breakfast bread was not fresh but vet and old.I am not a pig to eat something that was for garbage.

Ventajas: Everything is absolutely great, apart from the small restaurant menu, which tends to also be a bit pricey. Breakfast is wonderful, staff is very helpful - got checked-in quite earlier than the original time, so everything was smooth and nice.

Desventajas: Restaurant menu is quite small and a bit expensive, but it compensates with the great taste! Parking also tends to be quite full if you arrive late in the evening, but then you can also park in the golf club, so only the remark about the restaurant is a small negative.

Ventajas: Staff were friendly. Bar staff was amazing. He read translated the entire menu for me. Everyone was friendly.

Desventajas: Had a hard time getting reception to answer the phone. My shower was broken and I had to move rooms. Pretty inconvenient.

Desventajas: Pool was out of bounds for children under 13 even though when I made the booking I made it clear I had a 9 year old and a 12 year old. Staff clueless and not helpful with bags or showing us round the hotel or telling where to have lunch or dinner. When we wanted dinner at the restaurant we were told we could have a table at 9pm despite making the booking 6 months ago.

Ventajas: Beautiful place , comfortable rooms , clean , good breakfast, gym is fantastic , spa is great too.

Desventajas: Breakfast could have more variety. Can’t control the AC in the room. Location is a bit off town.

Desventajas: Standard rooms are facing an atrium, hence no natural sunlight. The restaurant & SPA is overpriced. 500SEK for just using the pool is a good joke. If St Jörgen considers these rates to be fair, they could at least offer their overnight guests some kind of discount. When Norway's (and probably whole Scandinavia's) number 1 SPA outside Oslo goes for around 550SEK/day, you know that something is terrible wrong here... Location is off, so SPA/golf is what you do here. I booked the hotel since the city center was unavailable due to congress.
